- Dave - 10-18-2004 Oooooooooh Shit. That is all I have to say. The rot has him. He's infected. Nobody is to make contact with Maeng unless absolutely necessary; he is highly contagious. - ScottyB - 10-19-2004 Dave Wrote:The rot has him. hahahaha, i can just picture some old guy with a peg leg hobbling around the paddock at summit, with his grandson by his side. when they see Maeng under the hood of his STi, staring blankly at the glowing turbo and twitching every few seconds, the old guy looks sternly down toward his grandson, looks him in the eyes and mutters in a dark voice..."the rot has him son. i reckon he's never to recover. come on now, don't stare at the poor man." - Maengelito - 10-19-2004 Evan Wrote:that will last approximately 1.5 laps. If you hold back. the no cost solution is what i always do on track which is to twist the seat belt 2 or 3 times next to the buckle before clicking in. put the seat one notch behind where you are comfortable, buckle the seatbelt and twist a few times beforehand. tighten the seatbelt but not too tight. then move the seat back to where you are comfortable and the seatbelt and seat will be tight enough to hold you down, but loose enough to not cut off your air/blood supply. and yes, i am highly contageous... stay away kiddies - navin - 10-19-2004 have fun fockers!! i'll be at retail hell... kick the keg this time too
- .RJ - 10-19-2004 Evan Wrote:as someone who has spent a lot of time sliding around in the crappy stock STi seats on track, try to pick up 2 CG-locks before the event. Helps hold you in your seat immensely. Maeng - I have one if you want it, I'll bring it to slummit. - Mike - 10-19-2004 you're so fucked dude. - Mike - 10-19-2004 white_2kgt Wrote:Evan Wrote:MichaelJComputer Wrote:are you stupid?white_2kgt Wrote:maeng, you going to be driving the STi this time??? I guess I am, because I always look at what kinds of cars people sign up with. - Mike - 10-19-2004 not sure if i'll be driving this weekend... need two odd bolts and then need to pray that the used rear disc setup all (hubs, calipers) functions properly... more on this tonight. - Chris - 10-19-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:not sure if i'll be driving this weekend... need two odd bolts and then need to pray that the used rear disc setup all (hubs, calipers) functions properly... more on this tonight. damnit just stick with the drums! I can't be the only one... - Mike - 10-19-2004 my drums don't work... all of my braking last event was on my front brakes. it worked, but it wasn't too ideal. - Dragon - 10-19-2004 ATTENTION Anyone who's taking or planning on taking the flagging course. Would any of you be able to be up at Summit Friday in the early afternoon, say 4 or 5pm? I just talked to Mark and he's trying to see if they can get some training out of the way before y'all start on Sat. - Evan - 10-19-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:I guess I am, because I always look at what kinds of cars people sign up with. The simple fact that he owns a subaru, let alone that has talked about tracking it should give you some kind of a clue. - Mike - 10-19-2004 i never thought he'd be so dumb... i have been proven wrong. fwiw, my brakes are together and ready to go on the car... if only i could pull in to the garage in to my spot to swap them over [/rant] everyone cross your fingers that the hubs and calipers are good! - Maengelito - 10-19-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:i never thought he'd be so dumb... i have been proven wrong. dont hate me cuz you aint me - Mike - 10-19-2004 Maengelito Wrote:MichaelJComputer Wrote:i never thought he'd be so dumb... i have been proven wrong. say that as i pass your bitchass while you're sitting in the t4 tire wall seriously tho, i will punch you really hard and say "i told you so" if you mess up. you had better drive like a bitch... although you already do... so drive even more bitchy.
- Maengelito - 10-19-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:say that as i pass your bitchass while you're sitting in the t4 tire wall whats that? i cant hear you cuz your instructor is in the way. also remember that you can only pass in two designated areas in group 2. have fun with that. 8) - Evan - 10-19-2004 maeng talking shit. thats just bad karma. Mike did you wait until the last minute to do the brakes? Havent you had them for like 6 mos? RJ is rubbing off on you - Maengelito - 10-19-2004 Evan Wrote:RJ is rubbing off on you ewwwww... - Evan - 10-19-2004 not to be confused with, RJ is rubbing you off, which apparently is the first thing that jumps in Maeng's mind. Tech - NASAlaura - 10-19-2004 Richard Mitchum could use some help in Tech on Saturday morning if anyone is available from 6:30AM until 8:00AM. Kaan can't make it because of his new job. If anyone has experience doing HPDE techs solo, that would be a great help. Right now, we don't have any others able to help out who can do inspections independently without Richard's guidance. Even if you can't do the inspections solo, we can still use the help! Thanks and Richard thanks you too! (Richard will also be helping to instruct this weekend because of an instructor shortage!)
