Except you'd have to take them out of the stock wheels.

Pull all of the sensors out, break down the spare, drop them in, inflate to proper pressure. Problem solved forever. Just don't get a flat tire.

Re: Project 'Me BooSTa' - Ken - 11-11-2013

I've heard that it doesn't always work to try and trick the sensors that way. idk, I didn't find it that big a deal on the Ralliart, just hit the button every time I got in the car to ignore the warning.

Alright, so, I've had these thoughts for the past few months about ownership of this ST. What I concluded was that for what I paid per month, I just didn't enjoy the car nearly as much as I should. For $400+ a month, you should walk outside and think, "daaaaamn self, you made the right move, what a car."

And I just... didn't feel that. The love wasn't there, I felt awkward sitting in it, and I had enough gripes about it that I decided to let it go.

My initial plan was to keep it through the spring, start looking for something pre-owned (2009+ish) that I felt would be a better fit. But... then I found a replacement car I really liked, at a dealership, and after a week of bickering over the phone, they made me an offer I couldn't really turn down. I got private-party money for a dealer trade-in, and the new car was a deal as well.

I owned the ST for 11.5 months, put 14,471 miles on it, and kinda enjoyed it. It was a great car. Ford nailed the "hot hatch" thing. I just don't think I'm much of a "hot hatch" kinda guy. Maybe I don't say "bro" enough, I'm not sure what it is. For what it's worth, the only thing that broke was the driver's foglight, and it was my fault (rocks at VIR).

Some last-day photos to play 'er out:

Re: Project 'Me BooSTa' - ScottyB - 12-09-2013

i think if you were gonna dip your toe on the hot hatch pool, you picked a hell of a cannonball to start it off with.

if they aren't your thing, i'd think owning one of the best ones in years is a good way to know for sure. glad it was a good ownership experience!
