Re: Automotive News Discussion - rherold9 - 03-16-2016 I mean the first iterations of a car will always be bad so I expect some bad things for this gen as well. If the base ZL1 stays right at or under $60k that's a pretty solid bargain per performance factor. Edit: not to mention this is probably my favorite looking camaro model. I can't stand the other models looks. Re: Automotive News Discussion - RawrImAMonster - 03-16-2016 Yeah that thing is going to be an absolute beast as long as they've fixed the cooling issues with that motor on this car. I'll agree with Ryan, this is probably the best looking Camaro since the 60's. Not sure If I would rather have this or the GT350. Probably the GT350 for the 8200 RPM redline. Speaking of GT350's, I saw a red one just like this cruising down main street in Hburg the other day. I thought they were supposed to be fairly limited production for the first year?

If they haven't fixed the cooling issues with that grille and them explicitly stating they have fixed them then they are doomed to fail. I love the looks of the 350 and 350R as well. If I cared to buy a muscle car I would have to drive both and compare features before buying. Both look great and perform very well for the money. It would be a super hard choice. The 350 and 350R are limited production but if you have the money you can get one. Re: Automotive News Discussion - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-16-2016 There was a GT350 at this weekend's Katie's Cars and Coffee and didn't even realize it till I passed it twice. To me that means in 5 years itll be "meh" status. (and trust me I love the concept). They don't stand out a ton, but they're still great looking cars. At first I am like hock: and then a couple years later :dunno: PS - The new Camaro is hideous. Looks like a dodge avenger's rear end.Edit: I guess a little less than I thought but I can't get it out of my head. I guess its the high rear bumper beltline with flat spoiler. ![]() Re: Automotive News Discussion - PDenbigh - 03-17-2016 Jeep Trailcat. Hellcat Engine,Viper Seats, Manual Transmission. Re: Automotive News Discussion - Kaan - 03-17-2016 hellcat engine + big tires+ JK jeep sticks = axle swaps all day Re: Automotive News Discussion - PDenbigh - 03-17-2016 Article says Dana 60 axles - but I don't know enough about these to know if that's an upgrade or not. Dana 60s from the factory sounds pretty amazing. Not sure if they are 707 hp amazing, thought. I guess it depends on what's inside of it. Without a removable roof, it's just a slow coupe that handles pretty well, i.e FRS. The convertible part is what completes the package. I wonder what kind of spices I should put on my words so I can eat them? http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/22/11287 ... -show-2016 This thing is beautiful. Re: Automotive News Discussion - SlimKlim - 03-23-2016 I think it looks great with the top on, kinda funky without it. But its a Miata, no one buys a Miata because of the way it looks. :dunno: Re: Automotive News Discussion - V1GiLaNtE - 03-23-2016 Damn. Beautiful. Reminds me of a mini TVR or something. Re: Automotive News Discussion - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-23-2016 rherold9 Wrote:Senor_Taylor Wrote:Whoops, DJ doesn't like it. Better call Mazda and tell them to scrap it. I literally have never bought a vehicle over $23k. Looks better in convertible ![]() Just surprised people like it, I can have my own opinion too :bootyshake: Re: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 03-23-2016 I'm with DJ. Looks better as a convertible, and wtf all the weight of a power hardtop with, you know, half the benefit. ok mazda, whatever. Re: Automotive News Discussion - rherold9 - 03-23-2016 The worst part is all the people whining about no speed models and no hp and no turbo and waaahh. The community is so annoying yesterday and today. It's turned into a bunch of people who think power and fwd is better than finesse. The funny part is the new Miata is only .4 seconds slower 0-60 with 160hp compared to something with 100hp more. |
