the thing that "goes right" seems to be when you're the game host. I really wish games like this would be hosted on a central server to take out that variability

scored 10k in a game yesterday and it wasn't a particularly long one... just one of those freak games where everything goes right. was like 70-17 with pistol and had most captures and defends. i think second place had like 4.5k and 25 kills

That was one of my favorite guns, now I think I actually prefer the MP7 in the SMG class. Pretty much all double xp weekend I was rocking the LSAT with a target finder + FMJ & foregrip. It is just so intimidating to be on the other end of that thing and so cheap when you play a tiny map like Nuketown :lol: Finally got my k/d up a little bit from when I first started playing and was trying to readjust to the game and the maps...I think I'm somewhere around 1.27 now all time. Most games I am averaging 1.5-2+ now though

I should be getting some Xbox Live subscription codes through work at some point in the near future. I've never set it up before because it seemed silly to spend the money when I play so little.
Anyone here still playing Forza 4 or Dirt 3 or are you all COD addicts?
I just bought Dirt 3 and I've been having a blast with it. I've played Forza through a few times and it had gotten kind of boring. The menus and voices and Gymkhana parts of Dirt 3 suck but the regular rallying is a blast. I just got to the "Ultralight" cars the other night and those things are stupid fun and tricky as hell to keep right side up. The margin for error in that game is like non-existent.

Because of you, I rock the LSAT with target finder, foregrip and stock. I wreck with it. I also don't care about my accuracy at all so I just spray even after i get the kill.

I play forza 4 sometimes but the racing portion of the game is kind of boring to me. I like customizing the cars.

i actually wasn't. in fact, only had a 3-bar connection. maybe i was lagging too hard for them?

Could be. I've had moments before where I felt like that was the case, too. Related: I just got a 4G LTE connection for the house..be interested to see if that helps or hurts. My ping on speedtest was 45ms, so I am optimistic.

Haha yeah, that's my favorite part of the game too. The last few times I played I was just trying to get through the races so i could justify building up another car.
If Dirt 3 had menu designs more like Forza 4 that didn't make me feel like I'm supposed to be 12 or under to play the game, and had some element of customization for the cars, it would be perfect. The racing part of it is so much more challenging than Forza because every tiny little input matters when you're going 80+ mph on a skinny little dirt road with nothing but trees 5 feet from the edge of the track.

I played dirt 2 but never got 3. I assume it is probably just as good. But I agree about the menu interface being that of a kids game.
I have started doing some online races in forza and find them pretty fun if you take them seriously

3 Merciless badges away from a gold shotgun. I know i should have had one a long time ago but i just haven't been able to play much since i bought this game
permanently unlocked the XBR or whatever that last sniper rifle is bc it's so beast. Have you guys noticed that the sniper rifles sometimes double tap? it happens to me at least once a game...not sure if it is lag or if i am somehow doing it

Played for the first time in a couple weeks, okay maybe more like a month or two. It seems like they nerfed SMGs, and pistols are just as powerful. I just run around with a br223 single. Only problem is constantly running out of ammo. But I am not as good as some of you folks. Maybe I am just wasting a ton of ammo? lol

SMGs definitely nerfed, especially the Skorpion. I tried a silencer on a whim for the MP7 for the first time since the last black ops and I forgot how much of an advantage it is. Shotgun is officially gold! Maybe I'll eventually get it to diamond...haha

Any bets on what games Sony might show for the PS4? I'm thinking some of the big exclusives like Uncharted and God of War. Maybe they'll announce GT6 for 2020.

one of the coolest quotes i've read on the whole next-gen thing is "we don't even know what next-gen is supposed to look like." from a graphics standpoint, i have no idea what they can do. i mean, i know our current consoles, at nearly a decade old are not cutting-edge any longer, but i've played games on modern day PCs and the differences aren't that impressive. in order to sell this next gen, they're going to have to amaze us... but how?
these are the thoughts that keep me up at night...
