Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 12-20-2013 I was thinking chest, after talking to Rex, but I may be seriously overthinking this. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 12-20-2013 If you want all those options go serpa. You can get multiple platforms for the holster to mount to. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 12-20-2013 Oh my god you're worse than a woman. You work for amazon, buy one of these DOESN'T MATTER WHICH ONE: http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/prod ... x?pid=6320 http://www.blackhawk.com/product/SERPA- ... 5,1410.htm And then worry later if your backpack will accommodate a gun on your hip. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 12-20-2013 I'm a planner Rex. Worrying later isn't in my nature. Hell, I don't even have Prime 'cause IMO the need for two day shipping shows a lack of planning ahead! Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 12-24-2013 So the front sight dot fell out of my shield. Are upgrading to tritium sights worth it? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 12-24-2013 I think they are cool, for approx $100 why not. I'm sure you can find em cheaper though. I don't think others agree with me though. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 12-25-2013 Evan Wrote:So the front sight dot fell out of my shield. Are upgrading to tritium sights worth it? I like them, but if they didn't come as a package deal I wouldn't pay extra for them. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-18-2014 Finally pulled the trigger on a decent safe. It's not super high end or super low end but kind of in the middle. Gander is having a sale and having done a bunch of research over the past few months it was hard to find anything comparable in price with a lifetime warranty and a fire rating: It's this one: http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/p ... i?i=733572 Includes the Deluxe accessory door panel with Cool Pocket and dual motion activated LED lights which is nice, I think the panel alone costs like $130. The one in the store fit the entire door though so I am pretty sure that is what I am getting. Has the thick round steel bars instead of the flat thin ones. Digital keypad that triggers 2 internal locks if it is drilled out. Electrical outlet kit. Only 30 minute rating at 1200* but it will be partially insulated by two concrete walls. I will also have another fire safe inside of it for documents, etc. Pretty solid value for $690 after tax! Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 01-22-2014 My dad decided he wanted his own shotgun at my house. For, you know, when he comes to visit once a year. He was looking for something relatively cheap that can get mucked up in the field, so we landed on an A300 Outlander. You can tell where the extra money for something like my Citori went, but this thing serve it's purpose. I'll add a better pic once I put the thing together.
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-22-2014 Which Citori did you end up getting? I remember seeing pics of it but I don't remember the model. I have been eyeing some of their models for a while but some of the dedicated trap / skeet guns are stupid expensive. I actually found a used Citori Hunter at Gander for $1k the other day, but it was not very well taken care of and it had unknown fixed chokes so I passed. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 01-22-2014 Trap XT: http://www.browning.com/products/catalo ... 13&tid=058 You can find them online for 20%+ off MSRP. I figured I was going to own it for the rest of my life, so I was okay with spending the money. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-22-2014 Nice yeah that is one of the ones I have been drooling over. That really is something you can hand down to your grandkids. Did you go through gunbroker? There is a vendor there that sells tons of Citoris and seems to have the best prices I have seen mostly anywhere. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 01-22-2014 I got mine at http://www.dawsonent.com/ Their website is crap, but I scoured the web for weeks when I was shopping and they had the best price by far. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 01-25-2014 I guess there isn't much else to say, other than it's definitely a field gun. I do like not having to worry about effing it up when lugging it around though.
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-27-2014 Anyone heard about this new personal defense round or the company? It looks pretty nuts: http://g2rip.com/ Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-27-2014 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Anyone heard about this new personal defense round or the company? It looks pretty nuts: New production of an old concept. Machined bullets are going to mean $$$. The penetration is due to the light weight of the projectile, not especially the bullet design. Anyway, looks like it's going to fragment like a grenade once it actually hits tissue, so it's probably moderately effective but too spendy, too scary looking for a jury. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 02-15-2014 Yay for instore pickup on ammo Cabela's is otw to Richmond.http://www.timesdispatch.com/business/r ... l?mode=jqm Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 02-16-2014 The shop that works on my cars here also vinyl wraps anything. Here is a Glock they carbon fiber wrapped three months ago after daily carry usage.
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 02-16-2014 Does that serve a function or it just bling? |
