Seriously, is Chris a vampire? He is in EVERY picture from back in the day... but I hang out with him now. How is that possible? DOES HE EVEN AGE?!??!?

I promise you he deserved it.

Also, its better to get punted on top of the tire wall than underneath it. Ouch.

"Curb" - The night that DJ broke a wheel one evening at Harrisonburg HS (before it was known as ice fishing). DJ got out of the car after the impact, and was understandably freaking out because of the damage, to which I replied "is it holding air?" Pause.... "yes, its holding air"... "So lets get out of here!" DJ jumps back in, we drive 30 or 40 feet, and then the wheel cracked and an audible "WOOSH" of air is heard, at which point the night started to suck. Had to call a cab to drive us back to Rockingham, where we picked up a spare wheel and jack and drove the SHO back out to change the wheel. I told DJ there was a curb there...

Blair / Paul / Justin and I giving Goodspeed Redbull and Everclear when we were all drinking Redbull and Vodka *every* time we were in Ashby and all the great nights that followed... I am not sure he ever caught on why he got wasted so much faster than the rest of us.

Strapping fireworks to a BMW dicast model and thinking that it was going to be the baddest thing ever.

Soldering a fuel pump into Ryan F's RX7 at 10pm at night, because that was gonna fix the idle issues, for real this time.

Boobies "and then" - "SPEECH!".

Getting yelled at for replacing the suspension on DJ's GSX by the Squire Hill management, and responding "we can leave it like this, or we can finish..." - they let us finish the job.

"Waiting for the pizza man" with Ryan T. To this day, I think that is the drunkest I have ever been.

Setting off DJ's alarm on his GSX when he was trying to get with some chick. 30 seconds later, DJ appears with a floor jack handle in his boxers running around the building, much to the delight of everyone waiting for him.

Flyer drops in Jeff's Bawlin turbo van.

Blair dragging a full tree branch through his house to use as a plunger w/ Shea in the bathroom.

Poppin bottles.

Anti-lag shifts in the GSX across the ISAT bridge.

Shooting the shit multiple afternoons at the train wreck known as Dryft, and learning that mechanics are way more interested in titty bars and drinking than the job at hand.

The Merkur GRM cars. Weasles in airboxes, cutting through exhaust pipe with a dremmel and getting metal shavings out of my arms for 2 weeks, Pete towing one across the alternate fuel lot and intentionally bending the core support 20 degrees (not knowing if the brakes on it worked, which luckally one of them did.)

The first time I went on track w/ Maeng at VIR and immediately spinning coming around T3, and him being in complete control afterwards and backing off the track to avoid oncoming traffic.

Disconnecting the exhaust on the SHO and trying to scare cows.

Mark's Fox and setting faster times at AutoXs when I rode in it because it evened out the weight distribution.

So this one time, when I was driving my Mercedes down to my lake house.....

It was a opossum, and it hissed at us and I've never seen so many teeth in an animal that wasn't swimming. There's a picture somewhere. A lot of those old pics were on we-todd-did, and it's gone now. Cry

I do (it was after my freshman year) but I don't remember the reasoning behind it.

I don't remember that actually...Aaron was a really good dude! He and his family always let me park my WRX or my STI at their house outside of town because I was too nervous it would get keyed again. I saw he just got married actually!

I was so excited to make the cut for that final race, but not surprised it was stopped (pretty soon) by the track staff. Phew that was terrifying.

For those not there: It was a NASA end of season party at g-force(?), we got down to the top 10(?) fastest people and had one final race. Big surprise a bunch of fast, aggressive people that know eachother from actual racing, thrown into a relatively low consequence environment... well it lasted a few laps. I don't remember all the wrecks but Evan ended up buried up to the steering wheel UNDER a wall, which cut/scratched up his legs pretty good too. Silly me I was just hoping for a good race!

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - Mike - 08-03-2015

Chan and his cane.
Evan and his oil change.

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - BLINGMW - 08-03-2015

I'll need some help with the "cane" story.
place: ?
year: ?
I bought an E30 on the trip (one of my silver ones?) so I think Jess was with me. Showed up, found a cane in the trunk, proceeded to beat said E30 with the cane. I think it was the same party I jumped in the pool after a floating keg, which broke my phone. Sounds like a good time. :dunno:

No joke, apparently that was before things posted on the internet lasted forever. Sad

I think that was Evan's chili cookoff? Can't you take a look at your bank account for the date you financed that car? Tongue Wink

Edit: Evan's house in McLean, 2004. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=694&hilit=chili

Curious if Evan's sister is still good looking ten years later.

Well damn, this makes me want to have a MM party at my place. We'd have to sort out parking though, not enough space.

Good work  I see Evan never did get those pics from his dad.
I want to say I picked up that POS E30 in like, PA that day, drove back to ATL the next. Totally worth the drive for such a fine machine, I'm sure Jess agreed.
Later that car would strand me on the way home from work on a busy ATL exit after a ground secured by a hose clamp finally decided to fail. Those old ECU's (an analog box full 'o resistors) weren't quite as voltage sensitive, so I was given a few minute warning when I noticed my headlights and dash lights were almost out. Jess loved rescuing me from that too I'm sure!
The car was beaten again for its insolence.

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - ScottyB - 08-03-2015

coming back from Richmond or somewhere in central VA at night with b00bies, Feersty, Mike and one other person in my old '01 accord in like 2004. i was a hardcore closet ricer so i had installed a bright-ass purple VTEC light in my dash that stayed on the entire way up Afton mountain because my car had the fake iVTEC that the single cam engines use and my foot was to the floor the whole time. mad street cred and adulation from all. Finally getting back to JMU in the wee hours and dropping everyone off, Mike was tripping balls with deliriousness while yelling at Feersty "GIMME YER COCK FEERST" and trying to grab his junk as he got out to go to his door and freaking Feersty out pretty good.

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - Mike - 08-03-2015

rob was such a homophobe. so funny.

omg... boobies locking dem shits up. i forget the details, but i think he had a seized rear drum or something, we had to make an abrupt stop, into a hotel or something at... cmp? and he went sliding.
