I'll try to grab some short ribs (korean style) since they are small and easy to eat for Sat night grilling. I'm thinking we should start a small Tupperware bin to keep together with utensils, plates, etc for future track days.

That's not a bad idea. I think we can pick up some hot dogs and buns.

Why do I have a feeling all of Navin's ideas involve me storing and transporting stuff? lol.

Time for a trailer build..... Sourcing a refrigerator right now.

Let me know if you actually plan to do this. I want to put a keggerator in our trailer.

HAULN-SS Wrote:Regarding your trailer - you should have no problem running something like a crock pot. A compressor is going to be the biggest problem - but assuming you're plugged into ground power, it wont be. The generator I bought has an extra "boost" feature for when the AC kicks on which I imagine is a similar load.

Its a small compressor and I am hooked into a dedicated 30A line. I also have my friends Honda EU2000i just in case. I gotta pick one up during the summer for tracks that dont have dedicated power.

If you go the honda route, buy two. They wont start an AC singularly. I bought the Yamaha 2400ishc or some shit. Quiet, and will start an AC.

All of your ideas for me involving me spending too much $$.

I can pick up some beer, unless there's anything special we need.

Don't even bother bringing a car, just start a mobile food truck business at various racetracks. 8)

Man, I kind of miss the ghetto trackday years. People sleeping in bathtubs to save money, and drinking 40oz's before Vixens Tongue

Actually, no I don't! (that much)

Vixens is happening again. April Slummit? Stuff all the track newbies in the long bed and let's go!

Fuck that -- make em drive the Civic back from Vixens Tongue

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - Maengelito - 02-15-2013

Damnit, I'm always really excited for the first track weekend of the year. I'm going to try to get there at around 5ish to set up in the paddock and swap tires. Whats on tap for tonight? Tavern? BDubs?

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - navin - 02-15-2013

Hoping to be at VIR around 5ish as well.

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - Jewels - 02-15-2013

Also, What time are the current students leaving campus? Rexy can't get off work as early as we'd hoped so we won't be leaving until around 4:30 or 5.

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - BFisch06 - 02-15-2013

Dan told me current students are meeting @ C4 lot at 6:45 and leaving at 7:00.

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - Jewels - 02-16-2013

Snow, rain, snow, rain. Current students I hope you are staying reasonably dry. Its warm and dry here in T & S, so we are good up here.

I woke up super jealous of y'all with a strong motorsports itch, and now I can't tell if all the pictures of snow have intensified or nullified that.

Have fun!

My summer tires have made snow driving... fun

Weather stunk but we got through it- I had a great time!

Re: VIR Lap Dance February 16/17th NASA-MA - D_Eclipse9916 - 02-19-2013

Insane... I can definitely say I have never raced in the snow with 5-foot visibility before.

Keeping the throttle pinned to the floor while looking out the side window to verify I was still on track was probably the most idiotic/scary thing I have done on track. If someone had stopped on the straightaway, I wouldnt have known till I hit them.

Some videos filtering in of the race...
