RJ you so need a WWII-looking helmet, with kill stamps on it - .RJ - 06-27-2008 ScottyB Wrote:RJ you so need a WWII-looking helmet, with kill stamps on it Yes. Rode the bike to work this morning - it does the ton before I have to brake and merge into traffic on 66. I wont say what the F4i would do in the same stretch of on ramp  So on the Vinyl, is that something that can be done by taking measurements, or should I seek out a vinyl shop and have them do it on the bike? - ScottyB - 06-27-2008 .RJ Wrote:So on the Vinyl, is that something that can be done by taking measurements, or should I seek out a vinyl shop and have them do it on the bike? i was thinking about it....if you want, i could just send them (them being a shop that normally does vinyl on contoured things like cars) a detailed rendering and they should be able to replicate it. thats pretty much what most people bring them, i would imagine. - .RJ - 02-08-2009 Couldnt get the right gasket so I made my own - .RJ - 02-21-2009 Spring cleaning and oil change Fired right up after sleeping all winter :toast:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
- Chris - 02-21-2009 damn thats cool. nice photos too - .RJ - 03-30-2009 Now with moar battery! Got the largest thing that would fit in the box, and made up some new cables. ![]() Also have a LED brake light/license plate bracket on the way (current setup is not visible enough) and different brake pads that hopefully dont squeel. Have some other changes in mind for later too
- ScottyB - 03-30-2009 i really hope you hang onto this thing. of all the vehicle you've owned this is really one of the coolest. - .RJ - 03-31-2009 I thought about selling it, but I just cant do it. I've gotten a little attached to it... besides, the project isnt "done" yet ![]() On the plate for this year: - Ride it - Get a new oil tank that fits above the swingarm pivot/engine case, between the frame rails - Ride it - Change the triples to later CB750 pieces to get more rake, it steers like a land barge now - Install one of these: http://www.benjiescaferacer.com/eurohea ... ucket.html and put this in it: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produc ... RecID=4852 - cruise for hoes I'll be able to toss the speedo and tach cables this way and clean up the front end a little. At some point in the distant future I'd like to pull the motor and do some headwork, a cam and big bore pistons. No real plans for that because the motor in it runs pretty good and I think it was rebuilt (but still stock) at some point before, its not leaking from the head/head gasket. - Apoc - 03-31-2009 You forgot "take pictures of hot chick draped all over it." Oh wait, if that's on there the project will never get done. - .RJ - 03-31-2009 I knew I forgot something. - V1GiLaNtE - 04-05-2009 God... after seeing this bike in person at the show I am in love with it even more.. I'm such a sucker for the ol' skool cafe bikes.. Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 11-21-2011 I cant believe I've had this bike over 4 years.... Now that I've moved and dont have a garage I'll be putting it up for sale and hopefully replacing it with something a little newer that I dont mind parking outside under a cover. I've been getting a bunch of little projects finished up and its back on the road after a long hiatus and I've been riding it some - I was hoping to have this stuff done in July, but as always there were setbacks... oh well. I've had a lot of fun building and riding it, and I've already got plenty of ideas for the next project. Once I build a deck and a shed on the back of my house I'll have some covered 'storage' and I can get back on a moto project. It will likely be a Honda CB350, if I dont get distracted by a Yamaha RD400... and I'll certainly build another 750 down the road, already have ideas for that too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: Project CB750 - JPolen01 - 11-21-2011 That is beautiful. That is all. Re: Project CB750 - BLAIR - 11-21-2011 Don't take a penny less than 5k for that bike. I've been watching the market of these for months now and 5k, possibly more is totally realistic! Man I still love this bike! eBay or submit it to throttle yard! Seems like a bike they would love to feature! Re: Project CB750 - BLINGMW - 11-21-2011 killer pics  Re: Project CB750 - WRXtranceformed - 11-21-2011 That is a sweet ass bike! Can't wait to see what the next project looks like! Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 11-21-2011 Looks like a 3 bedroom townhouse  For throttle yard, I know a guy that does some writing for Bring a Trailer, so that shouldnt be a problem.
