  I vastly prefer Top Gear now that shouty mcshouty face is gone.  Grand Tour is just too gimicky and focused on the actors and the same dialogue over and over and over and over...ill still watch it.

The Gymkhana files drove me nuts.  I have never heard such self-promotion ever.  We are awesome, we are VIRAL, WE ARE SICK, WE PUSH IT TO THE LIMITS, BIGGER/FASTER/MORE AWESOME, SHOUTING MORE SHOUTING, KEN BLOCK BEST DRIVA EVER.  That was okay for the first 10 minutes, then it rolled on and on and even to the second episode.  It felt more like a "self-promotion trailer for 50 minutes" then a behind the scenes take about the cars or the progression and history of Gymkhana.

i never watched Grand Tour after the first season.  OG UK Top Gear was one of my all time favorite things on a screen, never missed an episode...but something happened when they moved to GT.  it just feels so much more scripted and the dialogue is just tired.  i liked "3 blokes mucking about in cars" but this feels a lot more cinematic and like they're checking boxes.  i forgot it was even on anymore.

the whole Ken Block / Hoonigan thing has turned into a lifestyle brand that i can't stand.  its just feels like its marketed to the same crowd as the Nitro Circus / Tapout / "Send it" kids.  just guys screaming about being rad and hyping each other up about stuff other guys have already been doing for years.  i love watching cars slide around and jump stuff but this has gotten so corporate it feels like a clinic.
