Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-31-2012 Thoughts on a one piece gas ring vs 3 separate? A field repair kit I bought didn't come with any so I wanted to get some extras and stumbled across it. Price is close, although I found a 15 pack of the three rings for $9. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/163933 ... der-163933 Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 12-31-2012 Eh, "conventional" gas rings have been around for 50 years, and every AR manufacturer ever uses them. Just use the 3 rings...but honestly, I've never ever ever had to replace them sooooo... Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-31-2012 I did a lot more reading and they seem to be really hit or miss....and yeah I agree that if that is how the rifle is designed it makes sense to keep it that way. Ordered 2 replacement sets on Amazon on the cheap just in case. Starting my search for a safe now~ Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - PDenbigh - 12-31-2012 For those of you that want to be vocal about your 2nd amendment rights, here's a little sticker for you: http://www.2ndsticker.com/ Disclaimer - it's a side project of mine.
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - PDenbigh - 01-02-2013 Looks like I may have a few for free soon, let me know if you want one. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 01-02-2013 Soooo are any ARs to be had these days? Don't want to press my luck, but any deals even? Hah... Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-02-2013 And so it begins.....got lucky and found a few AR lowers, should be shipped out tomorrow
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-02-2013 Mike Wrote:Soooo are any ARs to be had these days? No. My LGS's wall is bare save for a few FAL's and an MSAR. Anything AR related is gone, sold out, backordered. I've had to re-evaluate my latest projects due to parts availability.
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-02-2013 Is Privi good stuff? It looks to be brass and non-corrosive. Found a bulk lot of them. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-02-2013 Nevermind, finally found your post several pages back Rex. Here is the link...there are 66 left as of this posting: https://ammoman.com/p/5/223-556-privi-partizan Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-02-2013 58 haha Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 01-02-2013 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Mike Wrote:Soooo are any ARs to be had these days? Sadface ![]() What to buy... what to buy... Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-02-2013 $.48/round...fuck me. Re: Re: - CaptainHenreh - 01-02-2013 HAULN-SS Wrote:Evan Wrote:do you guys think this for $850 shipped + FFL is a good deal? I am 110% certain that Armalite does not have anything in stock, nor was it ever $850 MSRP. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 01-02-2013 Hah...I did end up buying that actually I have a buddy that was selling 2 polymer lowers pre-obamapocalypse, Ill check to see if he has sold them already or is still going to part with them. check stag, during the last 2008 gun-rush they took pre-orders for a good price, even 6 months out. personally I just want to find some reasonable 9mm ammo Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 01-02-2013 Evan Wrote:personally I just want to find some reasonable 9mm ammo I should start selling from my case
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-02-2013 CaptainHenreh Wrote:$.48/round...fuck me.Yeah I know. That's still half of what I have to pay per round for a 20rd. box, since that is all that I can find anywhere in the area. I swear people are literally staking out the gun shops here for bulk ammo. There is another gun show in February, I am hoping that ammo prices have come down a little by then and I will stock up again. I am with Evan, I can't even find 9mm ammo down here like ever. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-02-2013 I usually buy 200 at a time. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Jeff - 01-03-2013 I just happened to be in Walmart the night of the shooting. Figured I would wonder by the gun counter. Just happened to be a 250rnd 9mm box there. Snapped that bitch up. Should have bought the AR they had to. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 01-03-2013 HAULN-SS Wrote:how much 9mm you trying to buy? My guy in WV has had it both times i was in there lately in 50rd boxesdepends on the price. 500-1000 if the price is good, ~200 if decent price |
