Well it won't be long before I'm buying or selling something else. I have a full blown addiction, that bike makes for my fourth vehicle, third sold. I'm zeroing in on number 5 too. ;-)

Re: Project Frankenbike - SlimKlim - 06-17-2011

Just got an email from the new, new owner that bought it off the kid I sold it too. It sounds like the kid that bought it from me wasn't cut out for motorcycling, and if anything he should've been on a 2010 Ninja 500, not a 20 year old frankenbike. He rode it for a total of 51 miles, and the new guy said the broken bar end mirror clamp was taped together, so the kid must've taken a little tumble on it. :p

This new guy has already ridden the crap out of it in a week, sorted out some stuff and continued some of my projects. It definitely sounds like he's not afraid to spin wrenches or get dirty. I wrote him a novel pretty much outlining every single thing I could possibly think of, including every shortcut I took when I had it, so he has as much information as possible when dealing with the ole bitch. I gave him my email address and asked him to keep me updated, so I'll throw whatever pictures up he sends me. I'm really glad to see that bike live on with someone patient enough to put up with its shit, cause it really is a pretty awesome little bike when it works.

So anyway. back to my miata. Big Grin
