RE: Fitness Whole Pizza In My Mouth - Steve85 - 09-17-2017 Got off the rails a bit here lately... I was looking into the macros idea and it kind of reminds me of the WW point system. Where, points are based on the composition of the calories, 100 calories of grilled chicken breast is say 3 points and 100 calories of cake is 5 points. When I started tracking a couple months ago I didn't have specific targets outside of under x grams of carbs which generally lead to a break out similar to the suggested macros based on my current situation and goals. I downloaded the new MFP (I had it years ago but never used it) and definitely like it. I'll follow the recommendations and see how it goes. We used to do a lot more food prep than we do now mostly because I WFH and can prep and cook most nights. I still cook enough that we have some leftovers for busier nights but it's helped with variety, cooking at least three different meal for the week and having each 2-3 times. This time last year i weighed 230lbs, this time this year i weigh 196.6lbs. I just stumbled across the scale at the gym this past week and decided to stand on it. Needless to say that was an extremely welcomed surprised. Just looking at myself in the mirror and how i feel everyday I wouldn't have guessed I made it under 200lbs. VERY HAPPY! LETS! FUCKING! GO! Bout to start lifting weights a little more seriously, but focus is still on fat loss. Yay

Once I move, I'm contemplating ditching Gold's (I'll have a gym in whatever apartment I choose, as part of my rent) and joining one of those "small group" places. There is one called Sweatbox that seems popular as a high intensity, couple times a week sort of deal. Maybe 10 people with 2 trainers keeping the group going, and each person has a plan tailored to their abilities.
