what game are you guys getting into thats multiplayer? my xbox is back and my roku is keeping the netflicks usage down!

Nothing here. All my XBox time has been used to finish out BSG before I have to pay for streaming. Once that's done, and before GoW3, I'm gonna finish Crysis2. I only really intend to do Gears co-op, so the next multiplayer for me will prolly be MW3 in November.

Yea I'm over BO, probably will just wait until MW3. I really did enjoy GoW1 multiplayer for whatever reason. I haven['t played it in years though...I'd be willing to give it another shot.

Kinda wish I had played the GOW3 multiplayer beta. Then I'd have a better idea of whether I wanna buy this.
I figure I can buy then sell on ebay, but I don't know that I'm gonna have a whole lot of time to play in the first place with MW3 and Forza 4 coming out soon. I was gung ho about Battlefield 3 until I started hearing all the ways EA made a mess of it.

I dunno, I didn't see a whole lot different from MW2. Looks like a graphics bump and some tweaks. If ain't broke, don't fix it I suppose.

so i saw that there is the ACR 6.8 (as in the ACR weapon calibered in 6.8 SPCII) as a weapon in that trailer. could this mean calibers really mean something? They have a pretty tight grip on everything in the game. I wish they would leak something to make it less like the others
there was one COD nerd guy from NY that was saying this could be the make or break for the series. if this is even an average game, its done.

Less glitches and hacks, improve graphics, add a few new features/weapons and they'll have a hit. People obviously don't care that these annual CoD releases are incremental improvements over the previous year. I think Activision has found a way to be the Madden of FPS's.

well i think if the weapons were more "real life" in action the game would be better. the no leading no bullet drop is BS. calilbers should count for something... and you should be able to fine tune a lot of things. not just paint up your guy and the hot set up and be "good"

I think it wouldn't hurt to add in things like bullet drop and caliber but if you made the weapons more real life some parts of the game would be terrible. If sniper rifles were as powerful as they are in real life you'd be dead from one shot every time. If the shotguns had more realistic range it would be like the dual 1887 nightmare all day, every day. Probably worse.
I do think they could add some things into the game to increase the skill you need to be good. But I think what would improve the game even more is skill-based matchmaking.

i think black ops took true sniping out of the game. i think the small maps and weapon equalizing hurt the game too. coordination and cooperation in multiplayer should be a focus. right now its just a bunch of people running around!

Summary:
-Instead of just kill streaks, you can choose one of three strike packages: assault, support, specialist
-Assault is just like kill streaks
-Support gives you things to help your team as you perform certain actions. You don't lose it when you die
-Specialist gives you extra perks as you get a longer kill streak going
-You gain proficiency with one weapon so it unlocks new behaviors (less recoil, holding your breath, faster reloading)
-New game modes, blah, blah, blah

For the most part, I don't really see anything wrong with the CoD series... but I haven't played nearly as many of them as everyone else has.
They could make the same game over and over again (they kinda do) and people will keep buying it. IMO, it's just hard to find a game that everyone call rally around and you have half dozen friends online playing, talking trash to strangers.
