Thanks to Kaan (and more than likely Sylvia too!) for picking up some 3" lift springs from me.. Everything is together except for the last piece which will hopefully be here soon...

This is MUCH stronger than almost any other option on the market because it is a double sheer system using a bracket that replaces your factory mount and single shear style bar. Better than a tie-rod end or Heim Joint style track bar where the mounting bolt pinches the pivoting joint to the stock track bar bracket (single shear mounting). Tie Rod ends are not designed for this type of use and flexing the suspension can exceed the range of travel and damage the Tie Rod end.
I figured buy once cry once when it comes to these kinds of things because I'm going to drive this XJ into the ground and then swap everything over to another one when it finally blows up.. :mrgreen:

blow it up? psssh John on novajeepers decided to do a head swap (just a valve job and basic refresh on a JY head) after 300k miles. yes its that busted ass two door that he daily drives and wheels.

Hmmmm....I now understand the Just Empty Every Pocket motto fully now..
Probably at 3.25/3.5" in the front and 4.5" in the rear.. Hoping it will settle down some to 4.25" or 4".. Still need to install the YJ rear brake line extension.. Ride is considerably more stiff but that's probably because I was used to everything being completely old, saggy, and blown out from abuse...
GOD BLESS PB BLASTER!! I soaked this bitch for a whole month 3x a week and I only broke one rear shock bolt.. Was able to drill it out and save the original threads.. Bar pin eliminators made install a breeze..Everything on this thing is straight HD beef!!
I think it needs some backspacing and 32's.....hahah...maybe just some cragar's for now..but I really like the stock wheels..

Sway bar links are too long to fold up at cotter pin point.. Wing nut lets me remove the whole link.. They're getting drilled for an extra cotter pin up there.. Wing nuts work fine.. this ain't no smooth riding, autobahn flyn' speed machine...

the 3 inch TJs did ok at RC for camp heep... but only on the green/low blue trails. you go much higher than that (only greens at Crozet) you wont need skids. but if you really want to step up, you'll need them.

I miss old Jeeps. I really miss my XJ....should have never sold it. I did a lift on a used 99 TJ we had in the shop a few weeks ago, it was like kickin it old school. If anyone around needs any help working on busted Jeeps you know where to find me. I really like what you have done with this one. :thumbup:
