Have you ever ridden in a car before? Yeah. Don't feel bad. Even I thought it was a somewhat awkward placement. Usually what you see up there are tweeters. Even my tweeters are door mounted up at the window. Re: Project Lotus Exige - Evan - 06-02-2014 Wheels are finally on. I <3 them ![]() ![]() Did a backroad jaunt through the front royal area on Saturday ( and have bright red arms to show for it ) Really really like the tires too. Handle well with sharp response but takes the edge off the potholes a lot better than the azenis did. A hair pushier than before, but that's to be expected with the fatter rears. Still have a couple new toys to put on when I get a few free minutes which at this rate will be September. Also debating some interior work sometime this summer. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Re: Project Lotus Exige - WRXtranceformed - 06-02-2014 So sick! Love that look. What tires did you end up with? I didn't see Re: Project Lotus Exige - Evan - 06-02-2014 Yokohama S drive. I need to get a shot from the back, they look pretty mean on the small car Re: Project Lotus Exige - JPolen01 - 06-03-2014 Good choice. Looks great! Re: Project Lotus Exige - Evan - 10-01-2014 ScottyB Wrote:don't do anything hasty with your elise dude....the resale is about to go up. hah, funny you should mention. This is the time, every year, when I get my car tax bill, and not coincidentally, every year when I think about selling the car The Evora never really caught on. Its heavy and looks a tad plain in comparison. Interior is gorgeous though, and a mid engine car with a back seat is kind of awesome. I dont think it sold too well, if it had, it wouldnt be too hard to just put a damn airbag weight sensor under teh seat liek every other car onthe road. Elise and Exige have not been sold in the US for a few years and as a result the value on my car has been ever so slowing creeping up. Not enough to offset insurance and aforementioned car tax, but better than selling it to get a FR-S (or Cayman) and losing 3/4 of the value in a few years. at least there is the Alfa 4C coming soon to take up the "agressive looking small mid engine sports car for under $60k" mantle Re: Project Lotus Exige - BLINGMW - 10-02-2014 Hmmm I need to get in on this "cars that increase (appriciate doesn't sound right) in value" gig. Sorry to hear we already chased Lotus off, but yours still looks good! Re: Project Lotus Exige - Evan - 11-13-2014 ![]() I got groceries motherfuckers! PROJECT CAR a carton of yogurt slipped out of the bag and stayed in the trunk for a week. didnt spill, and didnt smell either. yesterday I threw it away, sorry no pics. just wanted to update on my new project developments. Re: Project Lotus Exige - Evan - 11-13-2014 oh shit, I almost forgot, big developments on the project. I changed the oil. Was going to do rotella but went with Mobil 1 0w 40. Bobistheoilguy people get a hard on over it, and wallyworld had it relatively cheap so yolooooooo. even took a sample to maybe but probably not send off to blackstone, so they can tell me i have a toyota engine with 15k miles on it. Re: Project Lotus Exige - Mike - 11-13-2014 you only got groceries in it so you could take that pic and say you did. world's best handling show car! tape any new bits to it this week? Re: Project Lotus Exige - PDenbigh - 11-13-2014 Damn dude slow down, this thing's gotta last! ;-) Hottest grocery getter at in the lot? Re: Project Lotus Exige - Apoc - 11-14-2014 I'm sure there was some mild that was better looking than Evan. If you're into that sorta thing. |
