Ok, the last two spots have been filled by friends of mine. Now we're set, stop being lame and dropping out! Also, refer to my earlier post on the page before this...if you haven't paid, PAY US.

Or we'll hurt you.

Theyre sold? Damn. Guess that sucks for my friends. They should have decided earlier. Big Grin

- Goodspeed - 11-14-2008

Alright everyone, I talked with G-Force today and we are set to race!

Remember: we are karting from 11AM TO 1PM. You need to be there at least 15 minutes early (by 10:45AM) in order to get into teams and get the classroom instructions.

We will have teams of 4. For the two hours, 20 people will race one hour, 20 the next. Within each one-hour, you will personally do 15 minutes on, and 15 minutes off, then 15 minutes on again. So, you and one other teammate will race for one hour, alternating in 15 minute shifts. For the second hour, your remaining two teammates will race in the same alternating 15 minute shifts.

Remember, wear long pants, bring gloves, and wear more than just a t-shirt as it will be a bit chilly in there. You may also want to bring a towel or something similar to place in the seat to hold you better.

After karting, we will be going to Justin's house in Richmond for lunch, and I have directions available. See you there!

I will be driving the van down and 3 of the 6 spots have been taken.

there will be on-board-entertainment i.e. 2FAST 2FURIOUS

if you want a ride, talk to me on sunday before other people do.

also, a few bucks towards gas would be much appreciated

- Maengelito - 11-15-2008

Was at G-Force today and witnessed somebody get the WHOLE kart through the tire wall and get wrapped up by the barrier. I'm not sure we can one up that but alumni hate will certainly lead to some destruction.

Can't wait for tomorrow. :bootyshake:

Excellent event. Had a ton of fun meeting so many new people and seeing some alumni I haven't seen in quite a while. The mayhem was a bit on the low side, although I definitely got my punting practice in at the sweeper. Thanks again to Justin for having us over after the racing and Ralph for the sweet Subie goodies . Great time.

Today was fantastic Big Grin This was my third time out and it never gets old! Seems like the n00bs had a good time and I think everyone's second runs were better than their first - mine was, by a long shot.

Great to meet some alumni (and friends of alums) who I hadn't yet met, and a big thanks to Justin and Casey for hosting us at their swanky residence Wink

On to the pictorz! Here are a few - there are a ton more on my Web Gallery. The Gallery ones are full-res and can be downloaded.

Teasers!!

I always look forward to karting every semester, and today did not disappoint. Great turnout, always cool to meet a bunch of new guys and tear around the circuit! Thanks again to Justin and Casey for hosting, the house looks great!

And it always seems like when I am happy with my car for a while I see a bunch of sick Subarus to get me itching again-- today was no exception!

Couple pictures--

I knew we forgot something....

Thanks for posting the pictures. Nice on the wall capture.

Awesome event guys (and gals). This time around was more about cutting fast times, but there were some definite battles that occured. For those who weren't there, we did succeed in placing a kart on top of a tire wall, but only for a second, he kept going(!) The track was the best its been and my kart was very strong, I was pretty happy with the results (Team Pownasaurus Rex - 2nd overall). w00t!

On the way back we were in a group of an Olds van, WRX sedan and a few others on a highway somewhere in Mexico. I thought it would be fun to drive these same cars in Project Gotham Racing on Xbox and make a video:

Excellent event. So much fun. thank you to Justin and his lovely wife for having a giant group of hooligans over for a bbq/celebration. I thank everyone who showed up for making it such a fun and entertaining event, especially the alumni since it's a pretty far drive for some.

P.S. can i get "Grillmaster" added to my name as well as VP??
