I take it you got a tripod? Smile

The last one is my favorite minus the harsh light from the street lamp, an ND filter would have helped. The 1 and 3 look a little grainy, 2 is good as well, it might have been better had you not gotten the building on the right w/ the flags though.

Yeah, even IS wont save my crack addict hands.

There's eleventy billion filters out there, I have no idea what they do, so fuckit Wink

the fountain one is the best, and i agree the benches would look better with the lighting being a bit less harsh.

A for effort though  you're definitely getting more better

Like this?

That's a little better but I think you added more noise to the photo than it's worth. Really the best option would be to apply the filter during the picture taking, post can only hide so much Smile.

Yep - although I've been shooting most of my stuff in raw, so I've got a lot of flexibility.

cool dog

Dog's not bad. I could do without the sunshine mirror in the background.

So could I, but my mother loves that goddamn thing.

Tagged along with chris on a photo shoot last week, and I finally finished going through the pics. I'd like some feedback on their technical merit (not "I'd hit it").

well i wouldnt hit it.... but i like them. i was thinking about saying fill flash in the first pic but i think i like it better as is.

what lens were you using? maybe its just compression for the web but the 2nd pic looks off. CAs maybe, or just not crisp

Evan Wrote:what lens were you using?

Nifty 50.

- HAULN-SS - 10-11-2007

pfft. I'd hit it. I like the third picture. Lighting is kind of fuxed in the other two.

- Apoc - 10-11-2007

Well, you didn't photoshop the pimple like I told you to.

I think the first two look overprocessed. Something about her arm in the first and face in the second look fuzzy, or hazy or I don't know what. Maybe it's the contrast, but it makes her face look really shiny too.

I like the composition of all three though.

What I came up with: http://www.dirtymartiniphoto.com/gallery/3608481

Nice looking pics.

- .paul - 10-23-2007

pfft i would deffly NOT hit it.

keep up the good work rj

Sold the Rebel XT and picked up a 30D Smile

Only played with it for a few minutes yesterday, but its very nice. Focusing is much faster and the pics are far less noisy at high ISO. All of the menus/controls are different, but more intuitive... cant wait to get some track shots with it Smile

These two were taken at ISO 1600 -

They're not noisy but they're out of focus. Guess the 30D didn't help with that. Tongue
