Now this particular driver is a NASA SE member and I do not know their policy but is should be similar.bimmerboodle Wrote:Dragon Wrote:I was not part of the review either.I am not sure what the infraction to be banned forever is.I was curious if there was a suspension period and that is why I asked JJ..RJ Wrote:I agree, but since I wasn't part of the review board for this incident I couldn't chime in on the penalties.Dragon Wrote:Just cause your license is revoked doesn't mean you're prohibited from registering for events. - white_2kgt - 08-21-2006 Dragon Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:How long does he have to stay in HPDE?My assumption would be as long as anyone else has to stay in HPDE, it'll be reviewed on a case by case basis like all other entrants. If and when he chooses to try for SuperComp again, he'll have to be approved. yea, but any region could approve that, no? - Dragon - 08-21-2006 white_2kgt Wrote:This is true, but AFAIK regions don't have to honor licenses granted by other regions if they don't want to. It's just like any other service industry "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any justifiable reason".Dragon Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:How long does he have to stay in HPDE?My assumption would be as long as anyone else has to stay in HPDE, it'll be reviewed on a case by case basis like all other entrants. Basically along the lines of "double secret probation" except it is no secret. - BLINGMW - 08-21-2006 so lets do a red flag dril and see how it goes!
- white_2kgt - 08-21-2006 I wish I had known he was coming out earlier, I would have cut the fucking roof off my car fixed the rear end and done a little HPDE3 myself...might have to plan that for the last summit pt this year... - Evan - 08-22-2006 Clarke County Board of Supervisors has recommended and the County Sheriff's office has designated Crums Church Road (Route 632) as a "Targeted Enforcement Area." Crums Church Road (Route 632) is north off of Route 7 just west of Berryville and connects to Old Charles Town Road on the way to SPR. The local law enforcement types will be monitoring speeds in the area between Route 7 and Old Charles Town Road on an increased frequency with a particular emphasis on and around (most) weekends. Save your racing for the track!!!!! - bimmerboodle - 08-22-2006 Evan Wrote:Clarke County Board of Supervisors has recommended and the County Sheriff's office has designated Crums Church Road (Route 632) as a "Targeted Enforcement Area." It is way easy to speed there, but it is curvy and not too long ago 2 HS kids delivering newspapers in the AM had a 2X fatal wreck along that road. - John - 08-23-2006 Registered and confirmed... see you all there! - Maengelito - 08-23-2006 who has the MM stickers? can someone bring them? - Maengelito - 08-24-2006 cmon guys, 12 people signed up and not a single one is a student. Summit is our home track. its like an hour from JMU. there's no way you guys have lots of work to do, its syllabus week - white_2kgt - 08-24-2006 Maengelito Wrote:cmon guys, 12 people signed up and not a single one is a student. So actually some probably are busy with stuff like moving in, but there isn't much of current student participation anyway. In other news, Rex and I will be up in the afternoon on sunday, and we are bummed we can't make the entire weekend. - Maengelito - 08-24-2006 ah, i thought it had. my mistake. uva had started this week so i guess i'm just used to seeing all the children. yeah, if that weekend is move in weekend, then i can understand that they'd be busy with all sorts of stuff - Jess - 08-24-2006 Maengelito Wrote:cmon guys, 12 people signed up and not a single one is a student. Ok, I'm done with the threadjacking...as you were... - Jewels - 08-24-2006 I wasn't trying to hate too much. I realize that a lot of the students do have jobs and are busy. And good for you Jess, I guess I should take the initiative too and stop hatin. But it is sad to me to not see many students out at the track. I see a few, that I can name on 1 hand, and hell I'm glad to see them out, but lets get these students out there having the fun times that we all talk about having. I BTW hate missing a track event, and looks like I'm gonna be missing this one and the october one, cause its Radford's homecoming and I decided I wanted to go this year, then confirmed with some friends, only to discover that its the same weekend as the last track event. BASTARD RADFORD. Guess I should have gone to JMU. Ok, please resume your regularly scheduled program.... - Kaan - 08-24-2006 man we are getting old... but we must carry ourselves with pride and push on to continue to dominate the motorsports world... they are young still... they just dont understand yet... but i think evan got the drift when he sat on the R6 last night its better than boost rot evan!
- Jess - 08-24-2006 Jewels Wrote:I realize that a lot of the students do have jobs and are busy. Yeah, this is true, but unless things have changed in the 5 years since Chan, Gerald, and the rest of the OGs have been in college, they faced the same challenges of jobs/money/school as well and still managed to participate. I think we just need to push the cheaper alternatives and make it as easy as possible for them to join in! |
