That's commendable, Rob. I'd stand behind that decision 100%.

These are toys for most folks here.
And as we know, the only difference between men and boys are the cost of their toys.

Also usually the age of the females they pursue, but obviously there are exceptions to that *cough* RJ *cough*

I said I'd stand behind Rob's smart move... I'll be numero uno to stand up and somebody less, uhm, responsible.

.RJ Wrote:You don't have enough miles under you to do that I think.

 There isn't a minimum requirement, you bring your own bike.

Mike Wrote:Uhhh after putting in as many miles as I have, I'd recommend you take the beginner's class.

There is no beginner's class available, dummy. Either MSF or the experienced class.

Feersty Wrote::roll: There isn't a minimum requirement, you bring your own bike.

Yes, but if you had asked they would tell you they recommend that you have a year of riding or 5,000 miles under you before you take the class.

Mike Wrote:There is no beginner's class available, dummy. Either MSF or the experienced class.

The MSF is the beginners class, dummy.

i didn't say that. anyway, msf is not the beginner's class, it is the foundation that sanctions the classes. they have basic and an experienced classes.

LOL...on the fast track, aren't we?

Good for you, in all seriousness. I know some guys who have been riding a while and don't have M licenses...

How big of a time lag between signing up and getting in to the MSF was there? I keep wanting to do it, but every time I enquire about it, it just seems like a huge hassle with a huge wait time. How exactly did you go about it?

Mikey is doing this: http://www.apexcycleeducation.com/product.aspx?id=436

To get into the state run $85 MSF in a reasonable amount of time you'll have to go to a different city like Winchester or Charlottesville.
