Ramps won't do him much good for this install. If he could do it on ramps then, well, he wouldn't need them. - Jeff - 04-12-2006 ![]() BLING! - Evan - 04-12-2006 .RJ Wrote:they stress open your wallet and money falls out. thats about itSo why do you have one? At least his car uses struts and can conceivably benefit from it - .RJ - 04-12-2006 It was free. I didnt bother to add the ITR barrRrRz between the rear LCA's or in the trunk, because that wouldnt be free. - ViPER1313 - 04-12-2006 Why do certain cars come with them from the factory? I want to see a real test that shows an improvement or no improvement. - .RJ - 04-12-2006 You wont find real tests, because measuring the torsional stiffness of a car isnt something the avg shadetree weekend wrencher can do. You will find a lot of conjecture like "my dashboard creaked less when I go up my driveway at an angle y0, it works!!11!1" - Nick325is - 04-12-2006 ViPER1313 Wrote:Why do certain cars come with them from the factory? I want to see a real test that shows an improvement or no improvement. All I know is that when I installed my front strut tower bar I had to let the car sit on jackstands for awhile and use a prybar to get the bar onto the shock towers. This meant that I had a decent amount of suspension sag which is common on these cars with higher miles. I would say the strut bar made a big difference with the overall rigidity of the front of the car. Nick |
