- Dave - 09-22-2005 OK, to kill this discussion and get this back on track, lets just assume that whatever car I get I will dump the extra $200 and get an oil cooler. Back onto what would be a good car... - Mike - 09-22-2005 said it once and i'll say it again... hatch or integra reliable, can pack tons of shit in them, parts are uberabundant and cheap, get 30+mpg to the track, a few of us here know a ton about them... downside? fwd. - navin - 09-22-2005 shit.. I might just sell mine cheap... - Mike - 09-22-2005 you're all talk, go away. - navin - 09-22-2005 if you say so. I never drive the thing, and im sure my desire to sell it will be even more when winter rolls around and it just sits around.. - Mike - 09-22-2005 so you're scrapping those "i wanna be a race car driver" plans? - .RJ - 09-22-2005 Well, you are all talk. At least you showed your grill at the chili cookoff.
- navin - 09-22-2005 haha, me a race car driver.. I'm broke as is, I'm not THAT stupid or hopeful <- all talk ass' might even be at Summit *if* everything falls in place by Monday.. (car work, make money at restaurant, hpde 1 isnt full, and laura will credit me for the weekend I worked eventho I lost my book)... damn, looking back that's a lot of chit to go wrong for me! - Chris - 09-22-2005 navin Wrote:haha, me a race car driver.. I'm broke as is, I'm not THAT stupid or hopeful well, see you next season! - damnit458 - 09-22-2005 Mike Wrote:said it once and i'll say it again... I couldnt agree more. - .RJ - 09-22-2005 Chris Wrote:well, see you next season! He'll have a new excuse then - G.Irish - 09-22-2005 I say SR swap for the 240. You've already got experience with it, you already have some stuff done to it, and its a good, cheap, relatively light chassis to start with. Starting a new project is going to cost more money and time. Especially if you have to spend time sorting things out. Look at Blair, he already did a SR swap and got it done relatively quick so you even have someone you know as a resource. ... If you're still a glutton for punishment you could always put a LS1 in there. - .RJ - 09-22-2005 G.Irish Wrote:If you're still a glutton for punishment you could always put a LS1 in there. Winnar! - Mike - 09-22-2005 aside from a honda, yeah 240 with an sr swap. pretty reliable, tons of parts out there, cheap, rwd, rather light, BOOST, but nowhere to race. - G.Irish - 09-22-2005 Mike Wrote:but nowhere to race. Plenty of places to drift tho! - Dave - 09-25-2005 Looks like there is a lot of support for the turbo 240, followed by the DSM crowd. Gonna be a tough decision... - Mike - 09-25-2005 '90 talon in your sig? wtf! i'm assuming you don't want to race? - ScottyB - 09-25-2005 Mike Wrote:'90 talon in your sig? oh snap! well Dave, i guess you'll be talking to Travis alot, eh? - Mike - 09-25-2005 who buys more cars? dave or rj? - ScottyB - 09-25-2005 Mike Wrote:who buys more cars? dave or rj? i don't think anyone can touch RJ. i wonder what next month's flavor will be. something boosted i think. |
