So if I'm hyperdriving. It should be free to get in? I just say I'm doing the Hyper Drive? I see tech is only until 930am on Saturday... That sucks. Can't decide if I'm down to wake up super early or just head there late Friday. I also need to remember to wear long clothes.

What other information should I need to know for those of you that have done this before?

Do you think they will actually enforce the $35 camping fee?

Don't forget your classroom session. Attendance is mandatory and it's before your driving session, usually in the morning like around 10:30

We are in the Tech Shed all day. You just need to have your car Tech'd prior to your session. Just swing by the tech shed and find Dave Allen or I, introduce yourself and tell us you are there for a Hyperdrive Tech inspection. We will try and knock your car out assuming we aren't dealing with something else when you pull up. Should only take 5-10 minutes for us to look over your car.

Wear long pants, long shirt, close toed shoes, and bring a Snell 95 or newer helmet or we have some loaners. DOT only helmets are not acceptable.

Look over your car prior to coming, check all fluids, tire tread, brakes etc.

Everything needs to be our of your car, treat it like an AutoX, no floor mats/loose materials.

Unofficially....I wouldn't worry about the camping fee.

Alright sweet. Thank you for the information. Still means getting up at 6am driving for awhile then straight into a Hyperdrive. What's all of your opinions on that? Should I just come up Friday night?

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - JPolen01 - 03-17-2014

If you like fun, go Friday night. It will also give you more time to swap wheels and get the car squared away for the morning so you're not scrambling to swap wheels, get the car tech'd, go to the classroom session all before your track time.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - rherold9 - 03-17-2014

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I hate being rushed. Going up Friday night leaves more leg room and I can have fun with all the shenanigans going on. I can relax. Alright, sweet. This looks like it is going to be one fun weekend

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Senor_Taylor - 03-17-2014

So, I repeat, is anyone leaving from Harrisonburg Friday around or after 4? I'm driving and want to follow/convoy with someone down.

Too bad people with cars don't have CB's, they make trips like this a lot easier.

I'm pretty sure my friend is coming with me and we will be leaving sometime between 5 and 6pm Friday and returning Saturday evening sometime after my hyperdrive

And i think we're gonna grab two of those UREC tents, also I'm only bringing $20 in cash so that'll cover me right?

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Senor_Taylor - 03-17-2014

Alrighty Matt. We'll have to meet up. What about you, Ryan? Since I'm carrying something for you on my truck.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Jake - 03-18-2014

Taylor and Ryan - are either of you staying on Saturday night?

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - rherold9 - 03-18-2014

Taylor. I will have to see what time I'm leaving. But it will be Friday night sometime. I'm going to be doing last minute checks and finishing up things getting ready for the Hyperdrive! Oh and you don't have to carry the tent. It is a lot smaller packed up than I thought it was going to be.

Jake, I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay until Sunday. But, it will be up to Sam if he goes and the other person who is coming with me wants to do. Why? What's up?

Just trying to get a head count for food that evening. We'll be grilling and could use a few bucks from each student to help offset the cost. I emailed Sam so he should be discussing at y'alls meeting tomorrow.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - JustinG - 03-18-2014

Grabbing a Sam's club size pack of Nathan's hotdogs and Buns.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Jake - 03-18-2014

Cool. I have beer to bring and can also bring some frozen burger patties/buns if people will throw small amounts of cash my way.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - JustinG - 03-18-2014

I can grab beer from Sams Club, if people chip in, Yeungling, Mexican Beer sampler, etc. Otherwise im just bringin dogs/buns.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Senor_Taylor - 03-18-2014

What's happening on Sunday that would make people leave? I thought the whole weekend is action packed. I'm not even driving, so I'm down to watch whatever.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Jewels - 03-18-2014

Ok, so what do you want the Elsea's to bring. I've not been paying attention to this thread much because I was debating even doing the NASA season this year. But I'm gonna be at this event so unless Rexy decides to just go into town for food I suppose we'll be participating.

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - Maengelito - 03-18-2014

I've got a case of BLs and some frozen burgers and buns. We still need propane I assume?

Re: March 21-23: NASA at VIR - JustinG - 03-18-2014

Sunday is a repeat of Saturday aside from no Hyperdrives and a longer 40 minute races vs a 25 minute race since there is no Race group practice sessions
