LOL....same here, I would say that is odd but I think that car/movie was revolutionary for many.

I remember watching AG for the first time when I was maybe 10 years old and becoming hooked on Milner's coupe. The scene where he opens up the headers and races Falfa's "badass Chevy" on Paradise Road...priceless.

"File that under CS over there...."

what the hell is going on with the pedals?

clutch, snakes drop out of the glovebox pedal, brake, gas?

I'm guessing the pedal on the far left is a "dead pedal", just a place to rest your foot when not using the clutch. All of my Mustangs have had them.

It could also be the parking brake, hard to tell since the pedals are at a bad angle in that pic.

Gas station attendant -"Got your header plugs off, eh? Looking for some action?"
Milner -"I think so, there's some punk looking for me"

This guy has made building engines an art form. His latest in a 3rd gen Camaro has billet turbos for the sole purpose of adding symmetry to the look of the motor. One of the turbos is reversed, with the downpipe on the opposite side. The intake on the above car and the newer one are also billet pieces that are $8000 "but come with a lot of other stuff would otherwise have to buy seperately" By that, I hope they mean a spare car.

All the power is of course overkill on a typical street car but I like to see someone taking his craft to the next level, especially in a shared area of interest.

^whats up with the whole tire stretching thing? I dont get the narrow tire/wide rim setup, why is everyone so into it recently?

- kcook - 05-19-2009

couldn't tell ya man. The stretch has been around for a long time.. vdubbers have always done it. Recently (starting a year ago) the subaru crowd started buying "aggressive fitting wheels" and it stuck. A lot of the people on nasioc begged the U.S. Rota distributor (subydude aka wheeldude.com) for wider wheels like 17x9 and 18x9. That happened and then 18x9.5 and 18x10 came. I use 17x9 with 255s so I'm not part of that. My offset is only 42 which is pretty close to a normal subaru aftermarket wheel (its my track setup so I want a proper fitting wheel). These guys are running anywhere from 18x9 +35 to 18x10 +30 or 17x9 +30. One guy is running 18x9.5 +22. most of these guys don't use their car daily and just cruise. Its all for looks. I personally love most of the guys setups.

Most of the aggressive fitting wheels for subaru started with rota, but some obviously don't like rotas so they use advan, volk, work, and enkei
with custom sizing.

some more of the white one

i actually really dig that color wheel on that color body but i could do without the skirts and wing. white STi's are now my favorite next to WRB.

i always thought the stretched tire thing started with drifters (they'd stretch cheapo tires to get the response of $$$ tires and their stiff sidewalls) and VW's that went for the "rwd wide-in-the-back" look and had to stretch the tire to fit it under stock fenders.

- Evan - 05-20-2009

ugh those sideskirts make me vomit

- WRXtranceformed - 05-20-2009

Best sideskirt combo on WRX / STI is OEM sideskirts with JDM aeroguards & OEM strakes, bar none.

- HAULN-SS - 05-20-2009

damn those pictures suck, too
