Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Ken - 07-29-2013 Does the TV have an audio out (optical maybe)? Couldn't you just run that from the TV to the receiver? Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - JustinG - 07-29-2013 Has optical out, but it is only linked to the CATV/DTV input. I do have an Analog output I can utilize I guess..... Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Mike - 07-29-2013 stopped buying purple horns for your car and get a man's tv. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Apoc - 07-30-2013 Has HDMI even made it down to Richmond yet? Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - JustinG - 07-30-2013 Hasn't made it here yet. Still waiting on the internets too. We have been too busy sending all of the douchebags to the west coast. It has been a hard battle but we think we only have one more, and then we are finished. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - .RJ - 07-30-2013 Can & String 3rd world internet city Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Apoc - 07-30-2013 JustinG Wrote:Hasn't made it here yet. Just keep making impulse buys on Amazon and everything will be ooooookaaaay. Not that interesting but whatever. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - JustinG - 07-30-2013 Just got my Netflix code from amazon Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - JPolen01 - 08-01-2013 Anyone seen the Leap Motion yet? I have zero use for it but it looks neat. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://www.leapmotion.com/">https://www.leapmotion.com/</a><!-- m --> Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - ViPER1313 - 08-01-2013 I can't really see much use for that on a personal computing device, but that could be incredibly useful for clean-rooms like the one Stephanie works in (you can't touch anything non sterol) Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Apoc - 08-01-2013 I wouldn't mind using it to replace the mouse that always falls off my recliner when I'm using my laptop as a media PC. Just being able to wave my hands to find movies, open, close, pause, etc. would be much better Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - HAULN-SS - 08-02-2013 samsung tvs have that built in now, and since you have an xbox, you could plug a kinect in and also get that functionality. I use my TV as a computer monitor. I don't think Samsungs control my computer. Also, I don't have a Samsung. Mike Wrote:what would you wave when you wanted to watch porn? The answer's pretty obvious. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - G.Irish - 08-05-2013 Decided to go Android and picked up a S4 over the weekend. So far I don't think the adjustment will be too tough UI wise. I've used Android off and on since Honeycomb and the wife has a Nexus 4. I like that Android offers up a bit more customization, but I am kind of regretting not just ponying up the money and buying the Google Play edition. All of this carrier bloatware is a bit annoying. Might have to try rooting it at some point. The screen kicks ass and I'm liking having all of this extra screen real estate over my iPhone 4. Haven't played much with any of the whizbang S4 features (Air Play, Smart Scrolling, etc) but I'll probably dick around with them this week. It took a long ass time to charge the phone fully for the first time, something like 4 hours. Hope that was just an anomaly. Either way I'm really gonna miss the blazing fast charge time of my iPhone. I think the best one is being able to read texts by hovering over the message in the list. This way I can see the whole thing, but not mark it as read, so I remember to respond to it later. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - WRXtranceformed - 08-05-2013 Welcome back to the light my son Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - Evan - 08-05-2013 I look forward to your long term roadtest review. I will probably buy one for anne soon and Im strongly considering one myself depending on how the nexus 5 turns out. Also, have you looked into seeing if you can flash it with the GPE build? The at&t version is the same as that except with one of the (tmo specific) radio bands disabled. Re: The official tablet (and other useless electronics) thre - G.Irish - 08-05-2013 Supposedly bootloader is unlocked on the T-Mobile edition (which is what I have). Maybe trying the GPE build won't be so bad. |
