Re: iRacing? - G.Irish - 10-03-2012 WaaaooooWWW, first-corner-yard-saaallleee Re: iRacing? - navin - 10-03-2012 LOL, the statement of how a race is never won in the first turn can not be more true for the Nvidia cup. I need to stop playing after nights at the bar/let friends play. My rating is abysmal! Chan -- mx5 cup race next week at LRP? And whats up with the races only occurring every hour, such a tease having to wait around after a race to do another one. Re: iRacing? - D_Eclipse9916 - 10-04-2012 Any of you guys have any "deals" for me to use? Re: iRacing? - navin - 10-04-2012 :?: Best bet is wait for newegg to sell the refurb g27's - I think they wanted $190, or convince Evan to sell his. I took Chan's advice and browsed the iRacing forum for someone selling one and got lucky and picked it up for $150. Other than that, the only money I have invested was getting Winblowz on my macbook pro, and the membership. Think I might pick up a wheel stand pro since we play it on a projector screen. Worse as in, races every two hours. Some series it's not even every day. I don't know if I can do rookie MX5. Especially LRP. That's torture. Do you ever do the inRacing News challenge series or does that require D class? You should get out of rookie. DJ, I don't know of any promos going on atm, but you should at least put my email in there if you do join. If I can transfer the credits back to you I will. Nobody here does that.
Re: iRacing? - navin - 10-04-2012 Yeah, i need to dedicate 1/2 a day or so to just mopping up some races in the MX5 at LRP to get out of rookie. I can't seem to figure out Okyuma (sp) circuit yet
Re: iRacing? - bmaddock - 10-04-2012 Cool, never heard of iRacing. Looks fun but the inner 16 year old in me still wants a NFS Underground 2 with GT5 physics to come out haha, Forza Horizon looks alright but not ricey enough. Got close to pulling the trigger on buying a G27 wheel earlier in the summer but backed out. I can't seem to figure out Okyuma (sp) circuit yetwell okayama's alright, maybe i could chase you around there in a practice. I *think* I pm'd you in game, hit me up. But yeah, even D class is a nice upgrade in quality of opponents, even if you want to stick with the rookie cars. Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 11-26-2012 super cheap, decent wheel today, DFGT, $60: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16879212025">http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6879212025</a><!-- m --> Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 01-05-2013 I think I'm going to take a break from iRacing for a while. Two offers: 1) I do have a few weeks left on my account, PM me if you'd like my login info to try it out. You must promise not to be an ass and go wreck people in my name. 2) I also have a free 3 month subscription code, good for new members only. PM me if you'd like it. Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 01-08-2013 3 mo code spoken for Re: iRacing? - PDenbigh - 02-01-2013 Heads up, I just got an email from iRacing asking me to come back, promo code, etc. Turns out its a phishing email with random youtube and some maliciousness links in the hyperlinks, etc. Which makes me think that iRacing got hacked. How else would the sender have my email address AND know that I am/was an iRacing customer? Might check your account and watch your credit card on file. Peter Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 02-01-2013 heh THAT'S great :| Thanks for the heads up, glad my CC on file with them is already dead *edit* oh hey sweet I got that email too  Now I kind of wish my account was still active, I'd like to see what the forum there is saying about it *double edit* got a response back from iRacing, they said it's legit. Pete, did yours have a lot of "http://link.email.dynect.net/" links in it? Apparently that's them. :dunno: Re: iRacing? - navin - 02-01-2013 Odd.... i just got a new debit card in the mail that I didn't request. Maybe related to iRacing? Re: iRacing? - Sully - 07-17-2013 Bump, this shit is hard. I need to try it with a wheel to see I can do any better but if test track ratings count. I don't think they'll ever let me race with anyone. Anyone still on this? Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 07-17-2013 nah, gave up early this year. I was getting too frustrated by the undocumented physics model changes and lack of finding people I know to race with. I might check it out again this winter, not sure. It is hard! And yes, you need a wheel. You can buy my RGT wheel for cheap if you like (mentioned on previous page), I've still got the box and documentation. Re: iRacing? - Sully - 07-17-2013 It just seems like an awful lot to throw at someone when they first sign on. Like I got out on track In testing but idk how most of the website works. I really want a g27 but idk if I'll really even get into it. I paid for one month and VIR really just to get a screenshot of oaktree Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 Re: iRacing? - BLINGMW - 07-17-2013 Sully Wrote:It just seems like an awful lot to throw at someone when they first sign on. Like I got out on track In testing but idk how most of the website works.I remember it being daunting. Figuring out the website, how to do anything, when races are and why, how scoring works, how protest system works, how to work with different cars and setups... there's a big learning curve. Kinda like... real racing I guess! :dunno: Re: iRacing? - navin - 07-17-2013 Take Chan's advice -- I was about ready to throw my wheel through a window when first playing iRacing. It def takes some time to get used to, and I actually had to go online and borrow someones settings for the g27 before it felt more natural. Re: iRacing? - Sully - 07-17-2013 I guess you can't have your own races, right? Like if we wanted just a race with us, we would have to pick a timed race That's already running and join in with random people... Idk if I'll even buy a wheel. I'd like to test it out with one but idk if I'll really get into even with a wheel and then its just more money wasted Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |
