Re: 95 civic dx - Mike - 07-18-2009

i'll have some integra lcas (one of the swaybar endlink mounts has a broken bolt) sitting around soon. one side has a good stock bushing, the other has some poly thing.

welded up a steel bushing? pics?

Re: 95 civic dx - balactm - 07-18-2009

the only pics i have are of the new shocks and springs i put in. when i replace the lca's i'll post up pics of the awesomeness. i'm trying to locate some lca's by the time i get back from vacation and may have found some megan racing ones on ebay for about half the price of normal ones. 80 shipped. can anyone do me better?

put on the new suspension. ran into a couple problems which led me to welding up some steel bushings for the lower control arms (anyone have any for sale?), but long story short, it's lowered. so far i really like the ride quality, it's bumpy, but it's fun, not violent. handles well so far, but an autocross will be the real test. also, so far i've noticed that i'm losing traction around turns most likely because of the tires, so the next thing will be a new set of wheels and summer tires. that is all for now, i will post pictures soon.

eyez be jealous.

Re: 95 civic dx - Mike - 07-19-2009

please don't buy megan racing lcas. buy used stockers first... the bushings in shit brands go bad in a matter of months. buy used stockers or some nice shit (function 7).

could that be resolved with some better bushings maybe? reason i'm asking is because i already placed a bid on the ones on ebay. they're new and haven't been installed on anything yet. maybe i'll just hope for someone to outbid me...

what about blox? function 7 looks nice, but i don't know if i can afford them right now.

Re: 95 civic dx - Mike - 07-19-2009

blox are awful too. stock or function 7 is the only way to go. otherwise, buy something, but replace the bushings.

Re: 95 civic dx - balactm - 07-20-2009

can you put stock lca bushings into a megan racing arm? I found just the bushings online for like 40 bucks, but i'm not sure if the bushings are gonna be the same...

Re: 95 civic dx - Mike - 07-20-2009

i don't know. i'd just get stock arms if i didn't have the budget for function 7.

Re: 95 civic dx - balactm - 07-25-2009

ok. pics are in. i don't have pics of the welded arm bushings yet because i haven't swapped out the arms. but here ya go...

Re: 95 civic dx - balactm - 07-29-2009

haha. well done sir. but no...not that kind of rice...

Re: 95 civic dx - balactm - 08-19-2009

i replaced the lcas with the ones from mike (thank you again) and I took pics of the welded bushings. as soon as i get internet i will post them up. right now, i'm using my friend's computer so i don't have the pics. unfortunately, the left side shock mount bolt stripped partially, and so i need to do something about that.
