I am open to suggestions, but I'm personally leaning towards completely random, i.e. drawing names out of a hat. Last time I tried to match people up by their previous lap times which worked for some teams and not others, and if we just left it up to the entrants to choose we'd get some superstar teams that wouldn't be very fair. Randomizing gives everyone a chance and helps people meet each other.

I kinda like randomizing too for the social aspect and not having any "ringer" teams. Of course, whatever team has Dr. Thomas almost instantly has a win, unless all of his teammates are hungover.

I am up for randomizing, last team choices didnt mix well because you had some people who didnt care how they did with those who have competitive edges and wanted to win. This frustrated at least me.

Couldn't you force everyone to have a new partner every time, and have them keep a running total of their best lap times, and somehow determine the fastest person from that? and fastest team kind of the same way..i dunno..just an idea
