- Evan - 06-30-2004 you guys should always get your stuff signed, and try to get the old ones you worked in the past signed if you didnt. Even if you dont use them you can donate them to the club, give away as club prizes, raffle, etc - Dragon - 07-01-2004 If you need anything signed, I and I believe Mike have signature authority for Log Books. - Sijray21 - 07-01-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:k, yeah you need a logbook. since you worked with me i can verify it and sign you off. i'll search through my boxes for one. did you ever find that log book? - Mike - 07-01-2004 theguywiththeSi Wrote:MichaelJComputer Wrote:k, yeah you need a logbook. since you worked with me i can verify it and sign you off. i'll search through my boxes for one. yep, have a few in my glovebox actually. <-- genius - Sijray21 - 07-01-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:theguywiththeSi Wrote:MichaelJComputer Wrote:k, yeah you need a logbook. since you worked with me i can verify it and sign you off. i'll search through my boxes for one. sweet, i appreciate it 8), can't wait till the 10th!! bringin my little shit digi cam and my SLR for some nice shots hopefully - .RJ - 07-01-2004 SLR? I don't know, I don't keep too close of tabs on him. - Dave - 07-02-2004 what is going on for lodging for drivers? - ECEtiger - 07-02-2004 Hey everyone! I met you guys at CMP and we talked about my sports car club down here in SC. Does anyone remember? You said you were jealous that our school lets us use parking lots for autocrosses?!? Ring a bell? Anyway, I am going to be joining you for Summit Point and I wanted to get a few details because I'm a little confused at the moment. First off, I'd like to know what your names are again. I remember RJ because he was one heck of a driver, and I definately remember working with a cool guy who runs grid. But the rest of you escape me (sorry). Secondly, I have been dragging my friends to track events all summer and finally growing some interest in real hits of the GFCP in my club. Rob, a good friend, is coming with me to Hyperfest, but as a drifter. He's really good at it too, so I hope to see him do well. He did a NASA-SE event a few months ago and finished second behind a BMW-sponsored driver. Anyway, he was told that he would have practice on Jefferson Circuit Friday from 6-8, but somewhere I saw the track wouldn't be open until 6. If that's true, how are we supposed to get him paddocked, the car off the trailer, and out on the track in 0 min? Thirdly, I have heard RJ and others on corner-carvers talking about setting up in the woods away from the bling off. I'm confused. I've never been to Summit Point, but I seem to have a knack for setting up in the wrong place at a new track. Guidance will be greatly appreciated. Finally, I'm running in HPDE 3 and in the SE they won't let me have a passenger, but I remember that guy (whom I've now forgotten) letting me ride with HPDE 3 drivers (thanks again--that was a blast). Anyway, Rob has never been on a track at speed and I was hoping I could take him for a few laps... any chance of that happening? Anyway, it's good to finally find you guy's website. I look forward to seeing you all this upcoming weekend! Sam - Dragon - 07-02-2004 ECEtiger Wrote:and I definately remember working with a cool guy who runs grid. But the rest of you escape me (sorry).Well I'm the guy that runs grid, but I'm sure you aren't talking about me cause I'm an asshole, not in the least bit cool, and the name's Matt. As for what RJ means by setting up in the woods, he probably means where they'll be hanging out. The paddock will be broken down in to specific zones where people are expected to have their car and such, however where you put your personal belongings, aka tent and such is up to you. Last year they put their non track cars and grill over in the grass/woods at the end of the paddock on your way down to turn 1. So you coming to work at Hype R Fest, or you gonna be driving? - Sijray21 - 07-02-2004 so is there any place / time we're meeting up to drive up saturday morning? I'm in the springfield area and i'm willing to drive to Summit and back. - Mike - 07-02-2004 Dave Wrote:what is going on for lodging for drivers? camping? sleep on floor of worker's room? - Mike - 07-02-2004 Reply to Sam... Too lazy to quote bits and pieces... First of all, welcome. I'm sure a lot of your questions can be answered here. Second part about practice at 6 and track opening at 6. Do it very quickly... Seriously though, contact NASA.About parking, the woods next to the paddock. There is a small spot where you can paddock up, it is shaded and you can camp there too. Finally about a passenger. NASA-VA does allow passengers for HPDE3 students, but you may need to get signed off for it. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-02-2004 ECEtiger Wrote:I remember RJ because he was one heck of a drivermust've been a different club... our RJ sucks.
