Yeah, get some yellow rockblocker or something. Paint seems kind of sketch on your lights.

- Jeff - 03-12-2006

Thats some nice mustard yellow u got there. I'm supprised no one has been rough on you. If they are actual glass...just paint thinner or stipper will be fine. If they are plasitc you need to sand them down, see the headlight repair thread.

Or skin.

Or mucous membranes.

Available at AAP
nasty nasty shit this is. Ate through quite a few pairs of latex gloves. Gave me some super happy fun chemical burns too

- HAULN-SS - 03-13-2006

If those lenses arent very expensive, buy new ones.

- Jeff - 03-13-2006

I got some auto Tal-Strip on my friend's face one time. We were using it to eat grease and dirt off of a K frame. He leaned into it. Burned him pretty bad. I was using it and getting it on my bare hands with only minor burns resulting. Its some dangerous shtuf for sure.

How bout accidently sitting in a pool of it. I was talking to my friend and sat down. all the sudden my ass started to get warm, then hot, then I was like Confusedhock: . My friend got a huge kick out of it. I have never washed my ass so thoroughly as that day.

Feerst.
Once you get the lenses all cleaned off pick up some of the lamin-x with the yellow tint. Not only will it make the lights yellow it will also protect the lenses.
And not to mention it won't look like Mcdonalds sponsored your car. Tongue

Good luck

Nick

sorry you had to figure this out the hard way Sad

seriously if you're concerned about it and have done your research just post up on here and ask. I was also looking into this for the integra's high-beam's and/or the vw's headlights

- Feersty - 03-13-2006

Yeah I thought about laminx film but didnt go for it. Also thought about yellow bulbs. Yeah live and learn I guess.

It doesn't look bad at night its yellow but at the lenses it looks like the moon.

- Mike - 03-13-2006

not to mention you probably cut down on about 90% of the light ouput.

- Feersty - 03-13-2006

Welp I fixed the problem and it took me an hour. Now they are clear. Do you guys suggest yellow bulbs or Lamin-x?

Xylene FTW

If anyone needs anything hardware related go to Fischer's Hardware in Springfield, they know their shit. You'll also be helping the little man Smile

- Nick325is - 03-13-2006

Yellow bulbs really won't change the color of the lense unless lit up. So get some yellow lamin-x and then yellow bulbs if you still aren't happy.
