Sorry I didn't inform y'all that we have discussed cars, future, women, among other things. i harass him too...all opinions, fun ,and games for example "boxters are for hot young wifes with rich husbands:-D" - Mike - 03-14-2005 G.Irish Wrote:BassmanGrammy Wrote:I drove the SLK320 today and I can't stand the shift feel. And the S2000 would be like someone at Heinz using Hunts ketchup. Heinz might be more expensive and appear the same to the normal person, but Heinz tastes better and driving what you sell and truely believe in, that can be a major statement. unless you drive what you sell through a fence
- WRXtranceformed - 03-14-2005 Do it bro ^_^ You've got the cash, and if you're willing to bite the bullet on the insurance payments, I'm sure you wouldn't regret owning a Porsche. You only live once, go spend that flow son ! 8) - G.Irish - 03-14-2005 Mike Wrote:unless you drive what you sell through a fence It wasn't a fence, it was a fence post... - Dave - 03-15-2005 I still will never forget the fun we had in that Lancer. "Uh, I'd let you drive, but I think we should take it easy on the way back" (as smoke pours from the front brakes/tires. - G.Irish - 03-15-2005 LMAO - Chris - 03-15-2005 Dave Wrote:I still will never forget the fun we had in that Lancer. [background info] i was looking for a stock hatch, found this one in broadway, it wasnt in the best of shape, but it ran pretty well. i scheduled a test drive with the owner of the used car lot, but when i arrived he wasnt there. the lady from the store next door (craft store) came over, let me in to the building, had me fill ouit the paper work, handed me the keys, and i was free to roam until she closed (4pm, it was noon)[/background info] so i take it in to h'burg, car ran pretty well, some minor fixes were needed (radio mainly). i have g the keys, he goes to pull out of his dealership (he was at work) and accelerates like it's nobody's business. i remind him that it doesn't rev like his gs-r (had to have hit like 8k, but stock hatches don't have tachs so who knows) as we see fairly thick smoke exiting the exhaust ... i'm sure it wasn't there on my ride up... bad gerald, bad. needless to say, i didn't buy that car. - BLINGMW - 03-15-2005 that's what it gets for not having a tach! - Chris - 03-15-2005 hahahaha  - bassmangrammy - 03-15-2005 yeah...I'm meeting with a guy tomorrow that will try and help get the insurance rate down...wish me luck - Feersty - 03-15-2005 Ha, you'll need a shitton of LUCK. - bassmangrammy - 03-15-2005 I got a quote for shits and giggles....a 2000 kia sophia is 3400 a year from Geico...something is wrong with them!!! - JackoliciousLegs - 03-16-2005 um.... something must be wrong with your record. I've got a TII and I pay like 1100 a year. Well, call back, and you'll get a different quote... lol. They're all different. - Dave - 03-16-2005 yeah, something is majorly up. I think I pay ~2k a year, so you're getting raped here. - JohnC - 03-16-2005 What are your deductables and coverages? Any moving violations/claims recently? I remember your claim on the Acura, but anything other than that? $3400/year is so absurd its laughable. I think the insurance for both Jess and myself is like $1940/year, and that will be going down pretty soon when I turn 25. Edit: Just got off the phone with USAA, our premium drops to $1680/year tommorrow
