- Feersty - 03-24-2004 Not surprised, stupid parking services can't see your parking pass. They say not to back into spaces in the parking regulation book. - Mike - 03-25-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:Oh yeah, while I was in court I got a parking ticket. Apparently you're not allowed to back in to spots in the downtown deck... - .RJ - 03-25-2004 Feersty Wrote:Do you get any tone with the Magnaflow? Yup!
- KPWSerpiente - 03-26-2004 Well, it happened to me. And was even worse. Got pulled over on 81 north near woodstock tonight. Was heading home to FFx. Cop said he pulled me over because my exhaust was too loud. Yessiree bob, he could hear my exhaust over the trucks and tractor trailers that were also on the highway. After taking my license and registration he comes back and asks me to step outside of the car. I'm driving on a suspended license. Says the dispatch said something about a driver improvement class I failed to take and that it might have been suspended as long as September. Well damn. Not only did I have to pay 80 bucks to have my car towed back to my apt in Harrisonburg (the tow truck driver owns a shop that has an 8 second tube chassis camaro and a 9 second tube chassis nova that he said he would think about letting me drive...but that is another story) but I need to go down the the DMV and get this shit straightened out asap. I'm not even going to bother about the exhaust ticket, as long as it is reasonable I'll be pre-paying that. Nope, just need to get my license back and then present myself as the stellar driver I am at my court date. I've only had one ticket, failure to obey highway sign back in August I believe, and I guess whatever class I need to take was mandatory. -T - Mike - 03-26-2004 Sucks, but fix-it tickets aren't prepayable. Just go to court, say you got it fixed (judge trusted me before I presnted receipts) and you'll likely just have court fees. Did you really not know your license was suspended? - Feersty - 03-26-2004 Damn y0. - KPWSerpiente - 03-27-2004 Mike, I don't know anything about fix it tickets or whatever. All I know is that he said I could prepay it and didn't say anything about me having to fix it. I would fight him to the end of the earth about this, if it wasn't for the suspended part. And no, I didn't know I was suspended, I went to court for my one and only moving violation, pleaded no contest and paid my fine and court fees. Why should a class be mandatory and why should my license be suspended for not taking it? Who knows, I'm going to get on it asap and hope the judge is a lenient man because I'm pretty sure he could supsend it even more if he wanted. -T - Mike - 03-27-2004 KPWSerpiente Wrote:Why should a class be mandatory and why should my license be suspended for not taking it? If the judge ordered it along with your fine... - KPWSerpiente - 03-27-2004 I was in court. The judge told me to pay my fine. I'm going to have to assume stuff about a class went through the mail. It makes no difference now, the class will be taken. -T |
