Awesome thanks! Yea I am the furthest thing from a clothes snob but the gap between average and good fleeces is huge IMO. A good one lasts forever and is super comfortable. I actually still wear a Columbia fleece I had in college, it has made it through a lot of uneducated washer / dryer cycles (I could have been a lot easier on it before I learned proper technique from my wife Tongue)

Technique? Tell me more.

I have 2, a black on and a grey one. Black one was from the OG order and the black started to fade a bit after a few years and has the kinda purplish hue to it. The Grey one is from the second apparel order that I think was done during Jake's era, it is still fine, but the fleece wasn't as thick as the OG black one. Both made by the same company though. They were like $60 ish I wanna say? maybe more.

I am 99% they are Charles River brand fleeces.

LLBean does custom embroidered fleeces starting at $50, $95 setup, Embroider fee = $13 per under 5, or $6 per for 6+. Embroider fee is dependent on how many stitches our logo takes.

But you know its going to be a quality fleece. Just a thought.

I'd pay a little extra to get this kind of quality, or like a Columbia. I'm too old to buy clothes that won't stand the test of time. I was still wearing my Columbia coat from High school until like 2 years ago when the zipper broke. I graduated in 2000 if that tells you how hold it was.

Apparently there are certain detergents you want to use that preserve colors better than others, don't throw stuff with zippers in with certain shirts or they will snag, dryer cycle stuff etc. I dunno I leave that to the womanly duties now

Definitely down for Columbia, North Face, LL bean would work...maybe UA but I haven't had mine long enough to see if they stand the test of time

Re: Fall Apparel Order '13 - JustinG - 09-30-2014

If someone shoots me the file needed to do the embroidery I don't mind trying to get some estimates of higher quality fleeces.
