i like the stealthiness personally. i'm not sure why anyone wants to bring attention to a plastic horn behind the grille.

let me know how you like them. i've been cut off a few times and just never bothered to follow up on my scathing rage and buy some serious hornage to make some fools' ears bleed.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - WRXtranceformed - 01-23-2013

I never really liked mine to be honest other than the fact that they look cool behind the grill. But I also rarely use my horn. I thought they sounded weird.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - JustinG - 01-23-2013

Didn't someone on here get them and paint them black? Rex's Bugeye or his STI??? I don't remember.

I say go black as well. Unless it came with a flat brim hat and some monster energy stickers, then you should leave them red.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - FlaakCM - 01-23-2013

I have black plasti-dip. I could just use that.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - Kaan - 01-23-2013

rex painted his black on the STI

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - JPolen01 - 01-23-2013

Black

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - FlaakCM - 02-21-2013

so i painted the hella horns flat black.

Ive been trying to get the nut off the back of the housing without any luck. I have used liquid wrench and can't budge it at all. so I've decided to just mount it with the bracket still on.

I am still awaiting warmer weather to pull off the front bumper and work on the horns and mounting the front lip.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - FlaakCM - 02-21-2013

I also recieve my front and rear Bilstein shocks and RCE springs last week. Anyone interested in helping me put them on when it gets warmer? Smile

I'm in Vienna with a big Ol' driveway if you want to come over and tackle it.

ETA: Test drive would be the only compensation I ask..

6'1

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - DavidL - 02-21-2013

I can make our garage available as well - David and I have only done ah, about a dozen suspension changes on my Subarus over the years

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - V1GiLaNtE - 02-21-2013

Wonderful. I'm 6'3". We should be able to pull this off nicely. Let us know when it comes time to wrenching.

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - WRXtranceformed - 03-12-2013

Looks great! Needed 18"s though IMO. Those wheels look tiny on that car.

Project: 2012 DGM WRX - FlaakCM - 03-12-2013

Just track wheels. Went with 17s for weight savings. 15lbs a wheel.

The summer wheels I have are 18x9

Re: Project: 2012 DGM WRX - ScottyB - 03-12-2013

love RPF1's on anything...those look great. the poundage savings has to feel nice in responsiveness too.
