I read a review before I saw the movie that it was best to "suspend disbelief." I not only did that, but went in looking for these sort of things as amusement. In the end, I really enjoyed the movie.

I find it curious that people would be surprised and frustrated that they took Fast & Furious 6 to obnoxious levels. I mean, that's the reason you go see that movie... not walk out on it.

To be honest, I was far far more disappointed with the mundane cars (stock Roadrunner and Jensen Interceptor as the "showcase" cars? Come the fuck on.) than I was with the 30 mile runway.

This x100. People that are complaining about how real or unreal it is need to GTFO. I agree that the runway was a bit too long, but whatever. I kept thinking to myself, man this runway is so long. Then I remembered I was watching F&F and told my rationale self to shut up and enjoy the movie.

There's a line between hilariously bad and entertaining, and unfunnily bad and stupid. The plane scene was on the wrong side of that line. Overwrought, too long, nonsensical, and just garbage. I liked F&F4 and 5, this was a big step backwards.

The runway was ridiculous, however I was able to overlook it, in the same way I overlooked the crappy acting. It's not what the movie is for. I absolutely agree about poor choice in cars as well and I think they could have done better at making the cars/driving the focus. I felt like it was more of just any ol' action movie with cars, rather than a car movie with action if that makes sense.

I will say the stunt where Vin Diesel jumps off his car across the bridges to catch his girl is actually possible. Their landing however is another story. They both should have lots of broken bones.

Has anyone heard of the F&F short directed by Vin Diesel called 'Los Banoleros'? It's set after 2 Fast 2 Furious and before Tokyo Drift meant to tie up some loose ends. This is the first time I am hearing about it. It's on youtube, but I can't link from work because the teh tubez are blocked here at the school system.
