For posterity.

So I saw this at Sears the other day and I've gotta say, I'm pretty tempted...

I'm trying not to be too impulsive in the next couple of months though, so I'll probably wait until closer to move-in date before getting a toolbox. The other thing is that ideally I'd get a roller toolbox combo where the top chest is light enough to pick up and take to the track. This one weighs 60 lbs empty :?

I have a similar tool box to that:

and I love it. For a general working on cars/working around the house, this box is awesome. There is enough space to store most all the hand tools I have plus some extras. Mine in plenty deep enough (no homo) and the ball bearings are TOTALLY worth the extra few bucks. I'd be happy to take pictures drawer for drawer if you'd like to see what can fit into one of these boxes. Mine is 11 drawers instead of 10, but basically the same.

My list of detailing wants would cost me half the price of my tuition LOL

Re: The WANT Thread - Jake - 09-12-2012

I'm with everyone else who's on the toolbox bandwagon. I had to run to Sears last weekend to buy a set of pickle forks, and managed to spend about 30 minutes wandering the tool section and ogling and wishing I had a big ol' gift card to buy all of the things.

Re: The WANT Thread - .RJ - 09-12-2012

Most of the sears/craftsman tool cases feel like cheap garbage now.

I bought one of these when I moved last year - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.harborfreight.com/five-drawer-service-cart-95272.html">http://www.harborfreight.com/five-drawe ... 95272.html</a><!-- m --> - so far really happy with it.

Aww hell nah! You bought something from Harbor Freight that you have to put together? Did it have all the bolts in the box? Were they the correct sizes? Did any of them break during assembly?

Re: The WANT Thread - .RJ - 09-12-2012

Everything went together as expected and it was pretty easy to assemble but count on needing a 2nd person to lift the tool chest part onto the legs. Drawers slide really smooth, feels sturdy, plenty of tool storage.

Jake Wrote:pickle forks

Another thing that doesn't fit well into a standard size toolbox.

Also yeah, mine feels cheap too. My dad's from 1970 still rolls well and is made of much heavier gauge steel. Harbor Freight also makes a 46" box, which is what I wish I had bought.

Lusting after this on Amazon right now. It's about as cheap as we found it in the islands for Columbus Day sale.

UGH yes, have been a Tag fan since I was 15- when the Gulf inspired Monaco came out I knew someday I'd have to own both a version of the Monaco and the Formula

Just picked this one up 3 or so weeks ago and have been loving it- Seiko's Sportura Anni watch- affordable chrono that is enthusiast inspired!

I have one of these. They are awesome but they are very big and very heavy. Definitely not an every day watch.

Re: The WANT Thread - CaptainHenreh - 10-08-2012

All this watch talk has reminded me I need a new watch. Any suggestions? Right now I'm in a 7 year old Citizen Calibre 5700, and while it's been a good watch, it's starting to act flaky.

Nice I'm jelly! There are a few IWCs that I have had my eye on too but I'd like to take baby steps on the watch collection  I don't mind a heavy watch but it would take some getting used to...both of my Ecodrives are all titanium, soooo light.

Rex, what is your budget?
