Catch you guys in April! Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - Steve85 - 03-15-2011 I just want to put a feeler out...my brother is coming up on Sunday from Raleigh and I would love to get him a ride on track. He's always been a car/Mustang guy and for the last few years was car builder/crew chief/ spotter for a friend that was running a mini-nascar style team (1/2 mile and under asphalt). I think the owner/driver might be coming with him too. Anyway, if anyone in the advanced groups could hold a seat for a session on Sunday I would really appreciate it. I'd love for him to get a taste of the twisties. Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-16-2011 Im sure I could catch him a ride in my car, but if he likes mustangs maybe sitting on grid for HPDE4. And Navin, wats the master cylinder issue? Just replace it? BTW how was the FATT?

Not sure from the description if we're supposed to have 3 or 4 drivers, do they even mandate pit stops? Theres going to be serious competition among even pro-drivers there. Ready to have our asses handed to us  At least theres a free t-shirt for us. Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - BLINGMW - 03-16-2011 that's fine, do you know if having 4 people is a handicap? I mean, are there only 2 mandated pit stops because it's set up for 3 drivers or are there more? Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - getfast - 03-16-2011 BLINGMW Wrote:that's fine, do you know if having 4 people is a handicap? I mean, are there only 2 mandated pit stops because it's set up for 3 drivers or are there more? For a 90min race like this one, it's two drivers minimum and two pit stops minimum (to make things more fair for the 3-driver teams, i.e. a 2-person team will be doing one driver switch and one stop & go.) 4 drivers is a disadvantage if you're going for an overall win, because an extra stop automatically puts you a lap down. 120min races are another story, like we do at SPK... usually 3 driver/3 stop minimum, for instance https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1234 ... 4 driver teams can certainly be competitive at those. Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - BLINGMW - 03-16-2011 Straight from the horse's mouth. Thanks! Who's our 3rd then. :?: Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - JohnC - 03-16-2011 BLINGMW Wrote:Straight from the horse's mouth. Thanks! I'm interested. What's the cost, if I'm not doing anything else at VIR that weekend? Re: NASA-MA VIR full course Mar 25-27 2011 - TorinoCobra070 - 03-16-2011 I am sort of considering going down just to spectate... anyone leaving from JMU have an extra seat??
