speaking of which anybody know of job opportunities close to college? haha i figured i might as well post, explore all options. Anything that i could walk to...meaning like within half hour-45 min walk

was summer of junior year plus senior year...
summer - internship (40hr/wk * 12/hr * 10wk = 4800) + bike shop (8hr/wk * 8/hr * 10wk = 640) + carmax (30hr/wk * 15/hr * 2wk = 900) = 6340
school year - on campus (10hr/wk * 7/hr * 35wk? = 2450) = 2450
winter - internship (40hr/wk * 12/hr * 4wk = 1920) + bike shop (10hr/wk * 8/hr * 4wk = 320) = 2240
summer 6340 + school 2450 + winter 2240 = 11030... a rough estimate, but you get the idea. where it all went? your guess is as good as mine...

7/hr on campus doing computer support at urec.
i was a salesman at carmax. i went through the training, sold for 2 days and quit.

I worked at Quiznos for a year and a half and never made over 7/hr. 12/hr would be unheard of for me...
But atleast I now know how to make every single sandwich that Quiznos has :roll: a valuable asset in life.

Come to Charlottesville. The Quiznos a few doors down from Starbucks is hiring.
Also, Starbucks is hella-good to their employees, and it's a LOT of fun if you're working with good managers and staff.
BTW... this is NOT to be taken as a suggestion that you should leave JMU for UVA. No one should ever, ever, ever do that.

UVA rejected me =-/ bastards, apparently a 3.6 and a 1380 isnt even good enough for a waitlist there. Anyway Im gonna apply at the dining services =-0 ill be serving your guys's food. If i had a car I'd apply at some warehouse job opp. they had listed on their site...8.50 an hour...man id jump at that if i could.
