so ummm... the address on my license is from two houses ago. i require a new picture so i can't update online and i'm not about to go the the DMV for an address change. LUCKILY, my checkbook still uses that old address. i are in luck for procrastinating on updating addresses? (that's two forms of ID showing the same address, but it's from 3+ years ago)

Are you really willing to defraud the gubment on your super official government form thingy?

Don't be a lazy ass.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - Mike - 04-05-2011

As long as you're not buying an "assault weapon", which requires proof of VA Citizenship, you should be fine.

I had to update my license before I can get my permission to purchase permit from the sheriff's office. Good thing here in NC it's super easy to do, $10 and it's an online process.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - Mike - 04-05-2011

oh i fully expect i SHOULD update my shit before purchasing [legally speaking], but like... i'm not planning on killing anyone so i'm not sweating it too badly.

address change is online here as well unless you're due for a new photo/the new board-game style license. bah humbug.

I would like to take a clay shooting course, but I can't find anything that isn't "how not to kill yourself" class. Recommendations?

You've taken the one at bull run already, correct?

I'd consider joining the FRGC or your local Issac Walton League. Honestly the best way to learn is to do, and have people give you tips on how to improve your form...which you will get if you shoot regularly. Join a league, you'll get good quick.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - Apoc - 04-05-2011

LCCIWLA has a Skeet shoot open to the public every month as a way to try and recruit new members.

I think I'll check it out in May.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - CaptainHenreh - 04-05-2011

This brings up an interesting question for the FAQ, though. "Where can I shoot my boomstick?"

I'll have to work on that and make an update.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - WRXtranceformed - 04-05-2011

There is an Isaac Walton League behind our farm. I could hear the hillbillys firing crazy rifles up there all the time growing up!

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - Ryan T - 04-05-2011

We've got a big farm that we go shoot at. The near side of it backs up to a new subdivision and the far side more farm land. We go and shoot near the subdivision sometimes just to piss the old people off.

Re: Rex's Total FNG Guide to Guns & FAQ - Apoc - 04-05-2011

It's worth mentioning my dad lives on 35 acres near Indian Head, MD... if anyone is dying to do some farm shootin.

Looked like a pretty small list on the online dealer part you mentioned. What about euro optic? had a friend recommend them.

Never heard of them. I mostly buy from Impact Guns, CDNN, Cheaperthandirt, Davidson's, and budsgunshop.

How did I just stumble across this lol? Thank you Rex for putting the time and effort to explain everything I've ever wanted to know about guns and relevant information. I am interested in buying a gun this winter and this has been super helpful!
