It was nailed so the glue can set up - the rest of it is held together with a big box of 3" deck screws.
And yes I used a level AND a square AND a ruler.

My last workbench had plenty of "character". Its a good thing it was massively overbuilt with 4x4's and huge bolts :lol:

I built one of these today - the design works well, would definitely build one this way again. The only thing I did different was use a nail gun to hold the wood together while the glue was setting up. It was available, and power tools are fun :lol:

Resurrecting this thread. I really have not been impressed by any type of coating. U-Coat it is apparently junk from tons of hot rodders guys perspectives (and garagejournal). And then theres the extensive prep, and many people still have problems with it after a few years even done right. RaceDeck looks like a really good solution for me, but im looking for opinions. Its a 2-car garage and I work on my cars extensively. WIth a good warranty and also plenty of good reviews on garagejournal from people actually using it, im quite impressed. Im mainly looking to not work on cold concrete, keep spills mainly off concrete, have a non-moldy garage, and for it to look actually decent. RaceDeck seems to work really well in this situation and is even a greater benefit of being able to move between houses. What do you guys think?

i dont know what the price is but they seem nice. nice enough that race teams are laying them down in the paddock.
