By who? Seems like a good bike to me. The 05-06 bike got a few updates over the 03-04 RR.

Pics? What's it need to be street worthy again? Lights?

And yeah, if someone has some facts, that can check on some cars, that would be good. Or couldnt i just call virginia (or WV) DMV to find out, directly? OR do they still charge you?

A little older than I'd like..but it's gorgeous in the pics. Is this vintage gsxr OK too?

- Mike - 04-30-2009

yes, they're ok, but i feel that's overpriced.

- HAULN-SS - 04-30-2009

Well, what would you offer him? I'm going to look at it today I think. Was going to see if he'd take 3500

I'm with mikey, seems kind of pricey, but I always liked the looks of that series, and don't the SRAD models have flatslides?

Mmmm...

I mean, if you like the bike, then just buy it. If it's in your budget and worth it to you, who cares if it's a "good price".

Seems no sportbike from any year is lower than 2500 these days...

05 CBR 600RR for 5k with 9100 miles with a few small mods
that's not bad if it truly is in good shape. i'm not sure what he means by 'drilled' frame sliders and not the plastic kind - you actually want plastic so it'll wear down. think about replacing that K&N filter if there is no power commander or bazazz device, they have a tendancy to run the motor lean - stock works just fine. like RJ said negotiate the price a little based on the tire condition. the 05/06 model isn't bad at all (inverted forks, lighter, and stiffer suspension when compared to the 03/04 model). the seat is also slightly more comfortable. check for oil stains or deposits near the bolts on the clutch side, worn or stripped screws, play in the throttle, and some of the usual wear items. you also may have to replace the brake pads.

- flintster55 - 04-30-2009

Thanks man that helps a lot. He said he added some Seafoam recently to the gas to clean the injectors - Is that normal after winter or could that be trying to remedy a problem? And what you said makes sense about the filter, I'd probably switch that back to stock asap.

- HAULN-SS - 05-01-2009

well, I talked him down to 3k, and told him I'd think about it. I think I'll get it. It does have a pretty good single scratch on the passenger side, but I can live with it.

I dropped off a deposit for the RR tonight. I'll be picking it up Saturday afternoon. What a nice graduation present for myself

Saw this in my paper today. I didn't know if you were still interested in finding one or if you already had found one but I thought I'd post it up just in case.

Yeah, I actually saw that last week too. I need to call the guy..I am going to be in Roanoke this weekend, I may try to stop by and check it out..thanks for keeping an eye out

- BLINGMW - 05-14-2009

you might have missed this one since the title is so dumb

'01 GSF1200 for $2500? Seems like a really good price if you like the bike at all.... More like a sport touring bike.

And don't let the "1200" scare you... it's got less power than a late model 600. A lot more torque though.

- Kaan - 05-14-2009

ok who has the sack? I do... i just need the money... i need $3k laying around at all times!

DO IT RJ!

- HAULN-SS - 05-26-2009

Chan, i did miss that, you're right..what a dumb seller. I'll keep it in mind...I'm not sure about the style of it, but for the price, i won't dump it out of my mind immediately.

Also, too bad that TL isnt white/blue...i'd have already been all up ons. I havent actually looked too much at those..are they..good?

Other question: I have found a 99 GSXR with like 25k miles on it..you think that's too many? He wants 3500 for it (i messed up by not getting that one i posted earlier that I got the guy down to 3k on..but now it's time to get serious, heh)

- .RJ - 05-26-2009

No, you dont want a TL1000.

- HAULN-SS - 05-26-2009

care to elaborate?

- .RJ - 05-26-2009

google it.

They're unstable, hard to ride, and tempermental - if you've never owned a sportbike before it would be a poor introduction.
