no offense, but if you behavior includes lingering in the blind spots of larger vehicles, you need to make a change.

i have to change my behavior in some similar ways when i'm around a motorcyclist - if i can even see them, i now need to give them more space because they are so unprotected. tractor trailers and dump trucks have to be driven around carefully. that's life, deal with it and move on.

i'm not an SUV fan by the way. i own one because we use it but it only gets driven about 5k miles a year and i hate driving it.

Sorry to keep this thread off topic, but there are more motorcyclists here in Charlotte that I've seen driving like assholes than all of the soccer moms in SUVs and kids in sports cars combined. Half of those guys deserve to get spattered. I know that sounds harsh but they really do drive like dickheads. At least 3 times a day I hear a sportbike pegging the limiter at like 100+ on the main road near my house...and that is a busy road.

I hear this crap ALL the time. while there is a certain amount of jackass riding... generally I feel when i do it that its more of a way to be noticed (so you dont hit me) or me literally running from a bad situation. ever had a drunk is Pcar SUV weaving at you and trying to race on the highway? Wink all i do is check out...

i cruise the left lane above the speed limit... it narrows the ammount of cars i have to keep track of AND if i have to get out of the way i'm well in the power band. and i promise the throttle will get you out of trouble before the brakes will, i dont care what the MSF says

I happily split lanes, people, whatever... because the last thing you need to do is get caught in a bunch of cluttered bullshit with 16 wheelers boxing you in and soccer mom on the cell phone and the old man reading the paper while he drives.

We didn't ask you to. We take the risk and all we ask is that you pay attention like you should.

Tractor trailers and dump trucks serve a legitimate business purpose (read: necessary evil). Commuting in a 7-seater doesn't/isn't.

for the record i think the new SHO is cool and i would like to see a black one lowered on BBS LM's. there!

so do you guys imagine this thing lining up with 335i's at stoplights? because i do. with the inevitable tuning boosting to 400+hp i can see some seriously embarrassed egos.

Because your life doesn't require one?

While it may not be full all the time, many people prefer to own 1 vehicle that can serve several purposes. (read:haul 1-7 people whatever the need is at the moment)

Still, I think what Deracola is saying is important.

If you're going to drive a 2 ton four wheel drive monstrosity, the very least you could do for the rest of society is drive it with care.

Another off-topic, but I got the chance to drive my buddy's wife's 335i AT last night. Damn that thing moves out for a stock car! I can't imagine how potent those things are with a tune. Steering is very precise like most BMWs, but I can't stand a LOT about the interior design and layout. For a $45k+ car I was not impressed by a lot of things and found a ton of minor annoyances... but damn you cannot argue with the instant torque and high rpm pull of that motor.

I agree 100%. I see more bikers riding like complete dipshits than I see bikers riding like regular humans.

The big difference is that the bike has a lower chance of killing anyone other than the rider. a bike travelling 100mph is carrying 1/6 of the force of an SUV travelling 60mph.
