Yeah. I don't know if I want to burn a whole day going to some building.

i didnt go because all the tours were booked. i hear its awesome though especially if you go on the night tours. however, i have no first hand info because i didnt get to go personally.

More importantly, what about the noodle shops?

- Maengelito - 12-19-2007

oh yeah, right. the noodle shops there are legit. tons of good places but the chinatown area seems to be half jade jewelry shops and half pseudo-chinese trinket gift shops. not that i sampled a lot of the food there in chinatown, but i think the grosser the outside looks (ie: skinned animals and whatnot hanging in the window) the more authentic the restaurant which usually equates to better taste.

Anyone going skiing this season? Jess and I are headed to snowshoe this weekend, should be fun. It's been probably a couple years since I've been. So sad. I'll probably bust my ass, renting a snowboard should help facilitate that.

- Evan - 12-19-2007

yeah I plan to go too, have only been a couple times since jmu.

snowshoe is definately my favorite by far in the area

Once it actually starts snowing, I'm going to make a concerted effort to make use of my in-laws place at Wintergreen

SF sucks... and to make it suck less, PM me. I'm hosting a New Years party at my house (S Mission). It's going to be a humongous rooftop party. It's the first party I'm hosting with a bouncer... it should be good :-)

Anyways, SF is amazing... I hope you move out here. Two MMers would be sweet. Things to doo.....

R&G Lounge for dinner in Chinatown (get the crusted crab)
Walk down Valencia in the mission and go shopping for weird stuff
Haight for Indian food (anywhere)

PM me and I'll at least give you more things to do.

That's actually not a bad idea

RJ, you're full of shit.

If you "couldn't wait to GTFO" you'd have gotten TFO already. Nothing keeping you here but us douchebags, and if you really were "California Dreamin'" that bad you'd not only be there already, but you'd be bitching about how bad it sucks.

i'm tired of saying this. can we make it one of the page banners?

by "season" i hope you mean x-mas week  ....Jen and I will be going to wintergreen or winterplace, i can never remember which is in WVA. not sure what day...we should roll there together.

i would also like to congradulate you on the best avatar i have ever seen.

i have no west side knowledge to speak of but in other news i've developed car ADD and want something V8 and RWD really bad. i go between that and loving my subaru every 15 or 20 minutes, all day.

Non turbo subies do that cause they're not civil and reliable. You're just not use to it yet. It's not that you want another car, you just subconsciously miss the drama of a high hp pile of crap. Big Grin

- Goodspeed - 12-19-2007

This thread is exactly what MM needs (cause its what MM really is): a thread specifically designed to be totally random and OT

I wouldn't be the best person to console you and advise you to keep the Subie Smile

Fuck off.

- HAULN-SS - 12-19-2007

z0mg...rwd and v8? GTGO! cheap!

I really think you don't want a mustang...really.

I really want a rwd v8 too. I hope I can wait long enough to buy a 2009 Camaro SS used

Andy Wrote:you just subconsciously miss the drama of a high hp pile of crap. Big Grin

how about a low hp pile of crap? that's all i've owned for the most part. that's the thing, i'm 26 and i haven't owned anything with an unhealthy amount of horsepower yet. i'm way behind the curve, even by MM standards.

i heard an uncorked LS1 about a week ago and it was like crack. it's all i can think about. i've been youtube'ing videos of LS1 exhausts like some kind of unstoppable exhaust geek, even when i'm at work and have a pile of stuff to do like today.

You need a 5.0L mustang cobra... the 94-?? body style but with the 5.0

.RJ Wrote:You need a 5.0L mustang cobra... the 94-?? body style but with the 5.0

and you sir, should own an FD.

- .RJ - 12-19-2007

Dammit. No!

- KPWSerpiente - 12-19-2007

Non of that horseshit. I saw a modified 03/04 Cobra on base today and realized I wasn't the highest horsepower car around anymore.

Be a man and get one.

Also, I swear one day I'll put up pictures and start a project thread. The car isn't the way Lee sold it to me anymore. Feel free to make detuning jokes.
