- white_2kgt - 07-06-2007 I saw it yesterday. I didn't think it was all that great. A little cheesy. As for the CGI, I was pisssed they didn't show more detail. Every transformation scene was either blocked by smoke or they did that shaky camera crap so it was hard to follow what the robots were doing. I don't see this movie as any great leep in CGI work. Entertaining, yes, Great Epic life changing movie of the summer, no. Go in expecting Star Wars Ep II, not the original Matrix. - Mike - 07-06-2007 very, very good movie... well worth the price of admission. as chad said, nothing groundbreaking, but still very enjoyable. - HAULN-SS - 07-06-2007 I thought Neil Cumpston might have a review of it, but I can't find it on the interweb. - WRXtranceformed - 07-06-2007 It was okay. There were some seriously cheesy scenes, and I agree with Chad that the action scenes were too shaky. I think part of it might be seeing it in the theater... I'll watch it again when it's on DVD on my TV which should be much more clear. I couldn't decide who was hotter though, the convict chick or the hacker slore. - ScottyB - 07-10-2007 saw it saturday...must say it was very entertaining. some stuff pissed me off because it was so dumb or cliche (Mikeala: "r u some kind of alien?"...i was expecting bumblebee to just shake his head) but overall, the story was simple and to the point, and the action was outrageous. i was crapping my pants in the LA fight scene. and the sound effects? mercy. without the nostalgia i bet it would have flopped but regardless, i'll be anxious to see the second movie when it comes out. p.s. barricade doing a huge silly burnout in the warehouse made modular ford V8's sound better than anything i've ever heard  - REED - 07-10-2007 Holy 40-year old virgin - BLINGMW - 07-10-2007 wow that's crazy hey, I had that one! Man, there are some cool ones on there, I wish I had them.
- JustinG - 07-10-2007 my brother and i had quite a few of them i remember playing with, the dino bots, that green decepticon construction ultra mega super bot thingy where you put 4-5 of em together to form him, and of course optimus. - ScottyB - 07-10-2007 REED Wrote:Holy 40-year old virgin that's outrageous...and the fact that there are 15 offers on it - white_2kgt - 07-10-2007 ScottyB Wrote:REED Wrote:Holy 40-year old virgin yea probably for like a few hundred or thousand dollars, nothing close to her 1miiiilllliiiooonnn asking - HAULN-SS - 07-10-2007 Grill in disguise! http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/20 ... 6B48984890 - REED - 07-10-2007 maybe i am only remembering the newer more complex transformers, but some of those old ones look pretty weak. i think the old bumblebee has maybe 4 moving parts. i def. remember having that red lunch box though - Andy - 07-14-2007 Best GM commercial, evar. I thought it was pretty entertaining. My only regret is Brian Austin Green having to die but that's really not a regret. - HAULN-SS - 07-14-2007 Yeah - i saw it last night. I actually didnt like it as much as I thought I would. It's like they moved the plot to a "cool place" just so they could have a fight there - nothing to do with anything. - Apoc - 07-14-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:in expecting Star Wars Ep II, not the original Matrix. Wow that's the best description I've heard so far and I haven't even seen it yet. - Apoc - 07-21-2007 Finally saw it. I really liked it. Not OMG but pretty freakin' cool IMO. - Goodspeed - 08-11-2007 ![]() Finally said what the hell and went to see this movie tonight. First of all, I don't think I played with the toys or ever really had anything to do with transformers when I was a kid, so I didn't know what to expect. It was a good "turn your brain off, shut up, sit down" movie IMO. I liked the transformers in their automotive states more, that semi and the Saleen cop car were bad ass. I didn't know what the hell was going on through most of the film, after a while it was like "enough already" with the action, and the DoD hiring hot Australian high school interns to crack codes made my brain hurt (did they even bother to give her a name in the movie btw?) If anything, the movie sure does leave you wanting for a new Camaro. Oh, and as Justin pointed out... ![]()
- WRXtranceformed - 09-23-2007 Sequel is on its way! And now, thanks to LA Times scribe Claudia Eller, we know that Summer 2009 is when it's set to hit screens. Both Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay are signed on, according to the article. Those of you who loved/hated the wall-to-wall making-of coverage while the first film was in production should prepare for more of the same in 2008. After all, the TF sequel should include new robots and new cars for us to gab about. Maybe the second time around, GM will even have some on-screen company from other carmakers, too. - ScottyB - 09-23-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:GM will even have some on-screen company from other carmakers, too. i hope so....i can only take so much GM - WRXtranceformed - 09-23-2007 ScottyB Wrote:WRXtranceformed Wrote:GM will even have some on-screen company from other carmakers, too.
