ÔÇ£NASA Mid-Atlantic is pleased to announce...a third MEGA EVENT at Virginia International Raceway-Full Course has been added to the 2007 schedule. March 30- April 1, 2007

Book your hotel room NOW. This is a race weekend at Martinsville and hotel rooms are in short supply when the NASCAR boys come to town.
And, yes, they get booked as far away as South Boston, Greensboro, etc, etc.

- Mike - 12-05-2006

Damn, talk about dedication.

South Boston is 63 miles from Martinsville and Greensboro is 48.2 miles.

FWIW, the Sleep Inn in Danville isn't taking internet reservations for that 30 March - 1 April weekend. I'm going to call them today and see how jacked up the rates are.

Does Laura know about this?

- Andy - 12-06-2006

I'm going to make reservations. Anyone want to be my roomie?

- .RJ - 12-06-2006

I'll room with you, buttercup.

She was notified by several other NASA officials via the email thread we were having about the added event.

I went to VIR duing a NASCAR weekend (it was a G&W Motorsports event). EVERYTHING was booked at least 3 months in advance. I ended up getting a room at the VIR Lodge, it was expensive, but nice being AT the track and in a hotel.

- Apoc - 12-06-2006

If anyone isn't racing/driving for any of these events and wants free room and board (including a ride if you need one) let me know. Wink

- Mike - 12-06-2006

chad, how much is a night at the vir lodge?

- Maengelito - 12-06-2006

i'll room with you guys too andy and RJ, or if anyone else is looking for a roomie

- .RJ - 12-06-2006

Oh great, the slant eyes will kill me in my sleep

I wanna say it's $140-$180 depending on the weekend. There's something to be said for waking up the sound of racecars... in a bed... with HVAC. I'd spend it if it were my money.

Why not just go crazy and get a suite with a garage?

It's called rape, not kill.
