This is a race weekend at Martinsville and hotel rooms are in short supply when the NASCAR boys come to town. And, yes, they get booked as far away as South Boston, Greensboro, etc, etc. - Mike - 12-05-2006 march 30 -> april 1? that be campin' time! - Andy - 12-05-2006 .RJ Wrote:Andy Wrote:Burn Visa Burn I'm going to do the THSCC's VIR-N event as well. - Feersty - 12-05-2006 GreenFlag Wrote:Book your hotel room NOW. South Boston is 63 miles from Martinsville and Greensboro is 48.2 miles. - Evan - 12-05-2006 heh.... a guy I race with owns a bowling alley in Martinsville. I cant imagine what thats like when even more rednecks are in town. - Mike - 12-05-2006 Feersty Wrote:GreenFlag Wrote:Book your hotel room NOW. I'm going to call them today and see how jacked up the rates are. Does Laura know about this? - Andy - 12-06-2006 I'm going to make reservations. Anyone want to be my roomie? - .RJ - 12-06-2006 Andy Wrote:I'm going to make reservations. Anyone want to be my roomie? EVERYTHING was booked at least 3 months in advance. I ended up getting a room at the VIR Lodge, it was expensive, but nice being AT the track and in a hotel. - Apoc - 12-06-2006 If anyone isn't racing/driving for any of these events and wants free room and board (including a ride if you need one) let me know.
- Mike - 12-06-2006 chad, how much is a night at the vir lodge? - Maengelito - 12-06-2006 i'll room with you guys too andy and RJ, or if anyone else is looking for a roomie - .RJ - 12-06-2006 Oh great, the slant eyes will kill me in my sleep - Apoc - 12-06-2006 Mike Wrote:chad, how much is a night at the vir lodge? I wanna say it's $140-$180 depending on the weekend. There's something to be said for waking up the sound of racecars... in a bed... with HVAC. I'd spend it if it were my money. Why not just go crazy and get a suite with a garage?
