The stock SE-R seats hold you in decently for stock seats. Only picture I could find of them: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_im ... 115_71.jpg +1 I would save your money until you can afford to get most of the stuff together. You won't be going that fast in group 1 anyways. - white_2kgt - 08-31-2006 Andy Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:mpg9999 Wrote:I am leaning towards going with a roll bar, stock seats, 6 point harness, and seat braces. I'd be surprised if I put down anything less then 170 whp, probably closer to 180 and a good amount of torque too. My car weighs 2400 pounds. I'm not on R comps (and wont until I at least make group 2, maybe not even then), but handling isnt to bad either. Chad, got any articles/research/documentation about seat braces puncturing seat backs? - Andy - 09-01-2006 mpg9999 Wrote:Andy Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:mpg9999 Wrote:I am leaning towards going with a roll bar, stock seats, 6 point harness, and seat braces. Instructors won't let you go that fast in group 1. - .RJ - 09-01-2006 Andy Wrote:Instructors won't let you go that fast in group 1. Y'all need to find better instructors ![]() The amount of traffic, limited passing zones, and general inexperience will keep your corner speeds in group 1 pretty slow. Most crashes happen in group 3/solo when you start going a lot faster but you dont have enough experience to bail you out when something goes wrong. |
