Feersty Wrote:A note about slower bikes, 500R was perfect for me starting out. Make sure you hold off on group rides for as long as possible, cause you will want to show people your skillz. People don't know what your limits are and will likely have bikes that are faster and can lean more. Both myself and my buddy wrecked on 500Rs doing group rides with siginificantly faster bikes..

You are just flat out wrong on all accounts. Please don't ride a bike ever.

I learned more on group rides with responsible riders. All new riders should be riding with experienced, safe riders. Why would the DMV force permit holders to do so? Someone that has been doing it for a while can watch out for things a new rider may not notice, help with the little tricks to stay out of trouble, give general riding advice, assist if something does go wrong, ect, ect.

Everyone notices a large group of motorcycles. It is usually the lone rider that gets tagged by driver off in la la land.

Like G said ride with in you equipments, conditions, and personal limits and you will be a safer rider.

PDenbigh Wrote:Mike, look at it this way - 'tis a good deal, 'tis a bike you like the looks and feel of, then buy it! If you find it's not the right bike for you simply sell it again.

well, i won't lie... the looks aren't ideal, but certainly better than the gs500. regarding reselling it, yeah, that is what is awesome aout these starter bikes. you can ride them for a year and sell them for exactly the same price you bought them for.

i'm pretty pumped about this, i hope it happens.

Once Mikey has purchased his bike his turn to the dark side will be complete! Muahahaha *waves red light saber*

no boost!

...yet...

Love my 500ARRRR (which, G, is a perfect pirate bike, of course). Not blisteringly fast in a straight line, but nice and light and easy to lean Smile I have no f-ing idea what the hell Rob was talking about - same bike, and I'm quite a bit heavier than he is, but seem to having a delightful time on it. All between the ears I guess...

Why? because you're an idiot?

Usually I just laugh quietly at your inane posts, but this time you were actually giving out misinformation and bad advice. It was time to speak up. Everyone that followed bashed you as well. Are you mad at them?

Think before you post.

* The line quoted above was a cheap shot/joke. But I stand by the rest of my post.

Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

First of all, cracker, that is not a line you made up. It can be found all over the internet, t-shirts, and posters.

Secondly, everyone look at the cars that I listed I have. Especially you, Bagg.
