GT Live at VIR Oct 6-8 w/ Grand Am - Printable Version +- Madison Motorsports (https://forum.mmsports.org) +-- Forum: Madison Motorsports (https://forum.mmsports.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=3) +--- Forum: Events (https://forum.mmsports.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=7) +--- Thread: GT Live at VIR Oct 6-8 w/ Grand Am (/showthread.php?tid=3718) |
- .RJ - 09-01-2006 I have talked to Jon Kofod and Jason Franza about it.... i just need to talk them into it. I would love to co-drive with either of them, they're both fast and they dont run into things. And stacked 2x4's under the rear wheel for gas fill ups = a must. - G.Irish - 09-27-2006 So who wants to go to this? I inquired about a group discount, maybe we could get a decent crew together between us and CCVT. I can't come but I think it should be a damned fun event. - G.Irish - 09-27-2006 OK I emailed the promoter/director for the event about getting group pricing and this is what he said: Quote:If you get together at least 20 cars then I can give you a weekend pass We'd probably have to get CCVT and maybe the VCU or UVA car clubs involved to make it happen. I don't know if Mason's group is still together but if you could get them in on it you could probably get a section for 50 cars. - G.Irish - 09-27-2006 Another email on the campsite fee: Quote:I can get the camping down from $50 to $35. so a combo pack would cost The camping pass would be for the whole weekend so it'd be a lot cheaper than trying to work out a hotel. I camped at VIR for AMA Superbike and it went pretty well, the showers and facilities are pretty clean and I didn't have to wait long. - Dave - 09-27-2006 damn, this sounds like a lot of fun, I wish I had seen it before (have no idea how I missed it) but I'm gonna have to miss it :-(. - getfast - 09-27-2006 I have at least 2, but possibly as many as 5, sets of worker credentials to give you guys (3-day all access passes and VIP passes which means free food the whole time.) You'd still need to pay for camping, but it's cheap enough. The only catch is that you'll need to help us staff a few portions of the event for a few hours a day to get the free tickets. Specifically, we need people to strap passengers in & work grid for this: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gtlivetour.com/events/att/gtsr.html">http://www.gtlivetour.com/events/att/gtsr.html</a><!-- m --> Tentatively, the timeframes for your help would be: Friday 3:30p - 5:30p Saturday 10:30a - noon and 1:30p - 3p Sunday 8a-10:30a PM or email me if you're interested. Thanks! Jon |
