- Kaan - 08-31-2005 right no one is gasing up the thursday before a 3 day weekend... possibly 4 day for the smart people... no one is going to buy gas ever! - Sijray21 - 08-31-2005 what about boycotting a certain supplier? that way if one company is not getting business then they'll lower their prices accordingly to attract customers, shifting it back to a buyer's market...? i dunno, made sense in my head. such as exxon/mobile? - .RJ - 08-31-2005 All the gas for an area comes from teh same place. Boycotting a retailer doesnt do shit. RJ - who is going to fill up both cars on sept 1st and not wait in line after work - Sijray21 - 08-31-2005 .RJ Wrote:RJ - who is going to fill up both cars on sept 1st and not wait in line after work waiting for that welfare check huh? cue Bone Thug's "1st of the month song" i always wait inline at my local liberty station (cheapest in the area by $.05 usually)...not like it matters that much, but a penny saved is a ...well, you know the rest - .RJ - 08-31-2005 No, no... food stamps is on the 1st. Welfare on the 15th! - ScottyB - 08-31-2005 broke the 3 dollar barrier down here today. apparently some idiotic fool on the news, and then the mayor, hyped up something about the supply of fuel in GA being at risk from the hurricane, so right now there are lines into the street at gas pumps. the pumps were supposed to have been shut down at 4 but i don't know whats up right now. - WRXtranceformed - 08-31-2005 This just gives everyone an excuse to REMOVE THEIR CATS!!!!! I'm thinking about dropping my last one, and swapping it back in for inspection time. Truthfully it's because I want my car to spit flames, not get better gas mileage (partially joking =p) - lyltoy - 08-31-2005 just filled up my truck today in the 'burg for $39, the price was $2.81/gallon hock:
- Dave - 08-31-2005 filled up the 240 last night and it cost me $35. Thank god I didn't wait until today, I woulda broke $40! Looks like prices went up .40 last night and another .20 sometime today :-o Looks like the supra will be sitting for a while; I'll Ryan update us on what it's like to really get bent over :-) - navin - 08-31-2005 I hate 93 Octane... damn your ITR pistons - Feersty - 08-31-2005 I paid $2.69 for Regular at BP in Burke. - John - 08-31-2005 Price went up between 25 and 30 cents since this morning. Glad I filled up yesterday morning and that I'm leaving the country for several days. - Jess - 08-31-2005 shit, prices are the least of our worries down here now...people are damn near assaulting each other at the pumps trying to get gas and all the stations are either rationing or shutting down. Thank goodness I filled up this weekend. hock: Ah, the perks of driving a manual trans 1990 accord...thank you 30 mpg! - Sijray21 - 08-31-2005 i'm trying to get the bike operational and i'll be taking that at work ![]() 51 mpg = happy jay with a fatter wallet or smaller invoice saw the prices.... $0.25 higher than yesterday.... - Maengelito - 08-31-2005 i pay about $35 for 93 for the STi maybe once a week. its really not too bad for me paying an extra ~$20 a month for gas. boycotting gas stations is retarded because many stations are locally owned and operated (sorta like a franchise) which means you're essentially hurting the gas attendants not the big corporations. besides, our personal automobiles are only a small slice of the pie for gas consumption. i think much more fuel is consumed for trucks which transport pretty much anything and everything we buy and planes at airports. i think with all the hype saying gas prices are gonna go up, the big petrol companies are retarded if they dont raise prices. its not like we're not gonna consume gas anymore and refinery output is at an alltime high. if people brace themselves to spend more then why wouldnt a company raise prices from a business standpoint? - CaptainHenreh - 08-31-2005 Last month, Exxon/Mobile posted the largest yearly profit of any American company...ever. As in, in all capitalism. 25.3 billion dollars. That's billion with a "B". When reached for comment, the CEO of E/M, A certain Dr. Evil, merely said: "Mwa-ha. Mwa-ha. Mwahahahahahahaaa!!!!" The CFO, U. Pennybags, was not available for comment. - Ryan T - 08-31-2005 Payed $3.19 for 93 today, but gas prices really don't bother me too much. I mean, I don't enjoy it and I wish they'd go down, but its not breaking the bank for me. I usually run my car down to having about 3/4 of a tank and fill up. Used to cost about $6 a week, now it costs about $8 a week. 23mpg/29mpg in a Supra isn't bad at all. - Feersty - 08-31-2005 Ryan T Wrote:Payed $3.19 for 93 today, but gas prices really don't bother me too much. That is damn good mileage man, you must shift way early  - Myuki - 08-31-2005 at about 2.80 same here. may go higher. - BLINGMW - 09-01-2005  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5611986893 |
