Glassdoor have any interview help for them? I'd look there first and then at some other similar companies for junior roles to see what an interview could be like

I'm leaving Amazon effective 1/9/19. If anyone wants me to look job details up and make recommendations before I leave, shoot me a PM.

What's the comp look like for your cloud sales engineers?

I don't think you're a fit, based on your failure to follow directions.

Comp ranges are not something I'm able to share, due to NDA.

Went through the whole process with Alarm.com and thought I did very well, but they chose to go with someone with more experience than me. Oh well. Search continues. Things continue to get worse at work with my relationship with my manager getting worse as well. I told them "It'll be a mistake to not promote me in March", which was honestly too forward, but oh well.

Got the Summer Games internship with BAH, so hopefully things go well and it leads to an offer after graduation. Does anyone in MM work there currently and have any advice on ways to handle the internship? Or just in general, I had BimmerWorld which was easy enough but that was remote and working on my own. Reporting to bosses and networking with coworkers will be a whole new ballgame for me, and I want to make the most of the opportunity.

Congrats!

Be friendly, listen more than you speak, ask follow-up questions, and don't bring up your chest tattoo unless asked.

Also, re: bosses and shit. If you are going to ask clarifying questions (and you should) about the work you are doing, try to think a bit on your own first. I'm way more interested in helping you if you say "Hey, about X, I'm confused but is it related to Y/should I take this approach" versus "I'm confused about X, what do I do".

RE: The MM Network - Apoc - 01-04-2019

"Come to me with a solution, not a question."

Probably my most common statement to people who reported to me.

The MM Network - Senor_Taylor - 01-04-2019

Congrats, Brandon! Having two internships will set you up well when the full time hunt begins.

RE: The MM Network - ryangreen1 - 01-04-2019

Something I realized in my internship is to let them know what you're capable of or have experience in. My supervisor didn't realize I was a certified pharmacy tech (from high school) until about halfway through mine even though it was on my resume and he would have let me do a lot more a lot sooner and would have made it a little more engaging.

Also don't be afraid to tell them you don't know something, and make sure they have the right expectations of you. A few doctors I shadowed assumed I was already in med/pharmacy school even though I had just finished my 2nd year of undergrad, and had higher expectations of me than they should have until I let them know.

Which is why I think that was a bit too aggressive.

Sometimes you have to be aggressive and lay your cards on the table. See where it goes...

He didn't say if the replacent was equitable though. We just replaced a good programmer with a fukwat...

RE: The MM Network - Apoc - 01-04-2019

The headcount is replaceable, not the value they bring... which was Evan's point.

Any accounting majors looking for an internship? My company is hiring an intern to work with our accounting department at our corporate office in Fells Point.

Just applied for a PM role at Deloitte if one of y'all would like to put in a good word for me and help me afford race car life. Thanks

You should have asked before applying. They do referrals, and the referrer gets cash if youre hired.

Most referral processes I've heard of require the person to still apply online. There was no option to mention any names or anything. My bad.
