Everyone I've heard talk about it said they "really liked it." Apparently it's like artsy brutal violence or something.

I was kinda disappointed, although I went in with the wrong mindset.

From the trailers, I was expecting "Taken" with some car chases and a love story peppered in. Instead, the movie is mainly about the love story, and briefly broken up by short car chases and bloodshed.

My girlfriend liked it much more than I did, YMMV.

Pretty much exactly what my coworker said, with his wife. I'm still interested in seeing it, because film buff.

i know exactly why, and it has alot to do with Liam Neeson breaking people's necks and faces continuously :lol:

i'd like to see Drive...its not really a "car movie" in the normal sense but i think that's sort of a cool twist.

I'm late to the party but I saw Drive last weekend.

If you like Pulp Fiction, Vanishing Point, Death Proof and shit like that, then you'll love the movie. If you don't "get" movies like that you'll probably hate it.

Its paced out fairly slow, you know little about the main character, and dialogue is sparse. But, its sexy, the sound track is awesome, the filmography is excellent, sound effects are good, its extremely violent and there are some really good suspenseful,hard hitting scenes. I personally loved it, it wasn't the best movie I've seen in the whole world, but definitely worth my ticket. However, I can see how a lot of people would bitch about it and say that "nothing happens" or it "has no story" because they can't watch a movie unless it has a 16 year old vampire sex idol and shitty pop music in it.
